Dr. Allison Elizabeth Snyder, DO

Very cold, rude, uncaring, and terrible bedside manner. Even with copious records showing the reasons of my extreme pain level, she almost immediately began weening me off of my pain meds. On a phone call with her nurse, she all but called me a drug addict. While "weening" me she offered absolutely no alternatives to help my extreme pain. None! I called my insurance company today to switch to a different pcp. During that conversation I learned that Dr Snyder never put through the 3 specialist referrals that she'd promised to have done long ago. I won't even take my 11yr old daughter to her. Thus "doctor" is pathetic.

Moved to Erie in 2012. Tried several Doctors and could not find one to listen to me. I lost my spleen in 89 and tend to get very sick even from a common cold. My wife and I found Dr. Snyder in late 2013 and have patients of her ever since. She was the only one that listened, validated my statements and "Acted" on my need. Thanks to her care, I get sick a lot less and stay current on my vaccinations. She often takes my wife and I as a dbl appointment and she always enjoys are visits (as we enjoy visiting her). As a 60 yr old male, she keeps me current on my "needed" examinations and always follows up on any of my questions. I'm a firm believer that in a relationship with your Doctor (like any other relationship), you get back what you put into it. So, a lot of the reviews on this page may require some folks to look in the mirror.

Shockingly rude. Her bedside manners, over the phone, in any capacity as a medical professional, her rudeness is startling. I never post online reviews but before you waste your time going to your first appointment you should know what you are getting into. I was BORN with one of the founding doctors of this practice attending, and was a patient into my thirties of this practice. I left and never went back after the office tried to shove me onto her patient list. Truly not a good person, much less professional. Insist on someone else.

She is a bit of an introvert and not too talkative, but I believe she cares about her patients. Her diagnoses and test requests are generally good, and she will answer your questions if asked directly, but you should have your list of questions ready before your visit. She definitely operates on a timetable, and when your 15 minutes are up, you are done, no matter what additional concerns you might have. Those concerns will have to wait to schedule another appointment on another day. The office staff at Millcreek Family Practice is absolutely horrible, and the biggest reason why you won't want to go back. They will frustrate you and make it difficult to do almost anything. If you have anything close to an urgent issue where you actually NEED to see a doctor, you cannot get a same day or next day appointment and are better off going to an urgent care center. They will not try to "fit you in" and actually tell you to go elsewhere. The office staff does not communicate effectively… with one another, so when you get transferred around on the phone (and you definitely will), you need to re-explain your situation all over again each time. They also frequently "forget" to send medication and doctors orders to the pharmacy and lab, so when you get to those places they know nothing about your prescription or tests. It's all done electronically, but the orders sit there waiting for someone in the office to click "send".

The doctor is very cold. Seems uninterested in what you have to say. Will kick you out of the practice and out of all AGH practices if she doesn't like you. Definitely not a good doc..

disappointing visit . Dr acted un professionally

I was in severe pain and her only Rx was Naprosyn. Motrin worked better. I felt I was labeled drug-seeking from the first visit. She simply didn't care.
