Best in Northern Virginia!!!! Dr Weltman is literally the best physician I’ve ever had!!! Highly recommend.

I transferred from another GYN practice due to scheduling difficulties/bedside manner issues. My first visit with About Women OB-GYN was with Dr. Weltman. Dr. Weltman took time to discuss my health provide helpful feedback and guidance. She was understanding, empathetic and patient. I left the appointment feeling very comfortable that I am patient of Dr. Weltman. The nurse, Erin, was warm and welcoming, too. Very pleased I transfer to this practice.

Dr. Weltman is unprofessional, has no bedside manner, rushed me & refuses to discuss or to explain test results with me directly... after I’ve been asking for a follow up for a week. Dr. Weltman avoids me and instructed a nurse call to me back instead so she could read her “notes” and then suggested that I schedule an appointment with a fertility specialist. The nurse didn’t even know what some of the medical terms were and apologized because she couldn’t provide further details. It’s not the nurses fault but it concerns me that Dr. Weltman is so disconnected and negligent but expects me to just simply trust her opinion after she avoided my requests for a return call. I wish I could give her a lower rating because I don’t think she cares about her patients but is more concerned about having a high clientele.

I feel that every time I was seen by Dr Weltman she rushed through the appt. to get to whatever she had to do next. Her staff says email her through patient portal and then I always get a response from a nurse that cares nothing about what I had to say.

I have been going to this practice for a few years now and as of this morning, I will NEVER return. I have been requesting to have a procedure to be done for the last year (at my annual check up). Dr. Weltman's coordinator was to call me to schedule. She never did. A few months later, I called back a few times, they never returned the call. I followed up 6 months later only to receive a call back 10 months later. Finally, I get my appointment schedule (1 year later) only to find out 10min before i was expected into the office that; 1- they did not provide me with the medication to take the night before. 2- Dr. Weltman just reviewed my file and additional paper work is required. 3- I have to give a 30 day conceit (seriously, it's been a year since I requested this procedure). Other than a great bedside manner, Dr. Weltman just revealed she didn't know who I was, what my needs were, or didn't care to follow up. The practice "About Women" obviously needs to get some standard… operating procedure "Standardized" and do there job.

I've been going to Dr. Weltman for at least 10 years. All of my experiences have been good. She is very caring and personable. I would definitely recommend her to family and friends.

Dr. Weltman has great bedside manner. She is warm and welcoming without being overly so or fake. I love that when she is in the room, she makes you feel like you are the only important patient at that moment. She listens (and intelligently answers) all of my questions, however silly or insignificant they may seem to others, and expresses a true concern to find out what may be causing any problems. Dr. Weltman is extremely relatable and very down to earth. Unfortunately, the efficiency and sense of caring ends when you exit the exam room. It is absolutely impossible to speak to an actual person when calling the practice. I have been leaving countless messages for the past month trying to get some answers, and finally had to go to another doctor to get my ultrasound results read :(.
