Dr. Allyson H Boudreaux, MD

I saw this physician recently and leaving her was the best decision I ever made. She didn't want to run any tests on me when I kept having miscarriages and refused to refer me to a fertility specialist. After finding a specialist on my own I have now identified what is causing my miscarriages and am on a much better path to having a baby. If you are a woman that has no issues in any stage of your pregnancy this doctor may work out for you but just know that the minute something goes wrong anywhere along the way, you will be in a really frustrating situation with her and she will not help you productively or proactively. She also is very by the book to the point where she will follow a protocol even if it doesn't make sense for the patient's situation.

I saw this physician about 5 years back and still cringe at the way I was treated. I was in my early 20s and was desperately seeking answers for some complications I was having. When delivering some bad news she, she spoke to me in a way that was demeaning and minimalized what for me was a devastating ordeal. Additionally, she diagnosed me with PCOS and urged me to begin metformin (diabetic medication). For reference I was 120 pounds at the time and living a generally healthy lifestyle. Since I have been told by 3 separate physicians that the diagnosis was inaccurate. Just a mess, in all of her online videos she says that she treats her patients the way she would like for her own mother and sister to be treated. Either my experience was a fluke or this was a lie.

She presents well in her office, but when under pressure she shuts down and does not seek help.

I had a terrible doctor for my first pregnancy who didn't order the correct testing on me which resulted in a VERY traumatic delivery that could have been avoided, I am now a nurse and realized this after the fact. So when I decided to get pregnant the second go round I did my research and chose Dr. Allyson Boudreaux. From the moment I met her she made me feel comfortable and excited about this second baby. I had a few medical issues during my pregnancy and Dr. Boudreaux always took care of me, saw me when ever it was needed, was overly precautious with any testing that was needed. That made me feel so confident in her as a physician and as a human being. She is really an amazing balance of a phenomenal physician and really a wonderful down to earth person. Her staff is AMAZING! I actually wasn't feeling right at the end of my pregnancy one day and at 3:30p called them to see what I should do, she waited for me to make it there that evening. As I was sitting in the exam room waiting on… her....my water broke!!! Right there in her office!!!! Her nurse literally wheeled me from their office to the hospital next door. The faith I have in this woman who helped me deliver my baby girl can really not be expressed in words. All I can say is that you will love her!!

Wait times are ridiculously long, takes phone calls while in the room with you, rude, makes fun of serious issues, dismisses you if you have any issues that don't require surgery, no communication between staff members, horrible delivery experience, errors made after delivery due to lack of communication from her...bottom line, I do not recommend her and I know I am finding a doctor that actually cares about me regardless of my age, race, insurance, etc.

I'll never switch!

I would highly recommend Dr. A. Boudreaux to anyone who is expecting a baby or trying to conceive. She was so patient and caring when my first pregnancy ended in miscarriage. She was equally as wonderful when delivering my daughter. Even through a rough labor and delivery (ending in c-section) she was the epitome of professional and caring.

Dr. Boudreaux is always patient with all of my questions. She is friendly and explains things very well. She is always eager to help me find better solutions to my healthcare needs. I never feel like she is rushing through my appointments.

She is the sweetest & the most thorough doctor that I could ever ask for!
