Dr. Brooks is THE BEST GYNO I've ever been to - and I'm OLD and have been to many many many of them - I truly know!

When I called this office and asked if they were accepting new patients, they said yes however it took about two months to get in for my first appointment. I felt like that was quite a while to wait to only see the Nurse Practitioner and not an MD. When I arrived for my appointment, I already had all my paper work filled out and signed two forms for confidentiality purposes, it took me less than five minutes to complete their paper work. After waiting for almost 45 minutes I asked the front desk how much longer? The front desk person was very rude and told me I would just have to wait my turn. I waited another 45 minutes and watched people get called back that came in almost a half hour after I did. I asked the front desk again when I would get to go back to see the NP and she once again was very rude and said I would have to wait. I was very upset with the way I was treated at this office. I had some serious health issues that I waited for almost two months to discuss at my… appointment. This place is not the type of physicians office that I would want taking care of me for my health, so I left. When I informed the front desk that I was leaving, she said OH WELL!!! There are plenty of other OB/GYN offices in Newport Beach that value their patients and would not make them wait.

Had a uterine fibroid at 30 with uncontrollable bleeding, finally made it to Brooks after 3 years, one procedure and 8 other doctors. Had a uterine ablation and no more problems. One doctor wanted to remove my ovaries, uterus, and cervix. She takes the time to listen to you and knows you as a person. She saved me. I only go to her for my yearly now. I have had to wait a long time in the waiting room, but I think it might have to do with if there is an emergency she needs to attend to, but she is worth the wait.

I ADORE Dr. Brooks. She's been my doctor for over 10 years. She has the best bedside manner of any doctor I've ever had. She's really caring--like, genuinely so. She takes time to listen and doesn't ever rush to get to the next patient. I have gone in to see her on occasions where I have been freaking out about some health concern, and she always makes me feel SO much better by the time I leave. She's very reassuring--almost like having a psychiatrist along with being a ob/gyn. She's a wonderful doctor along with being a caring person in general & she has done surgery on me in the past where I have a scar that you can hardly see, and this was for a C-section for a fibroid. I can barely see it! She's incredibly skilled and is on the Board of Directors at Hoag Hospital. WOW. I can't say ENOUGH about how fantastic this doctor is, as both a physician and as a person. She is warm, caring and really good. Everyone should be so lucky as to have a doctor like her.

Dr. Allyson Brooks is an outstanding Doctor, she is professionally, knowledgeable, caring and goes above and beyond to support and take care of her patients.

Dr. Brooks is one of the most caring doctors out there, she is incredibly sensitive to your needs and wishes. She never rushes through appointments and takes her time to answer all your questions and more....Probably thats why its so hard to get an appointment with her!!!

I have been going to Dr. Brooks for 13 years now. She is an extremely caring doctor who is detail oriented and thorough. I have every confidence in her as a physician and find her to be personable and easy to talk to. She is solely practicing gynecology now, and no more obstetrics. Her office is extremely busy, and unless there is an urgent issue, it is difficult to get an appointment with her. In addition, even with scheduled appointments, the wait time in the lobby is often long. The office staff is extremely polite and courteous. I am not sure if she is currently accepting new patients, but I highly recommend her.
