Dr. Alma Lemez, MD

I usually don’t take the time to write detailed reviews unless it’s well deserved, whether greatly outstanding or also so .. thoroughly disappointing. I’ve been going here since 2015- May 2018. Just being honest, not anything blown out of proportion I hope. Staff was inconsistent with me in regards to having positive experiences. My encounters with staff can be summed up into one word, nonchalant. I didn’t really ever expect something like a five star costumer service from them but it would have been nice to get in a smile every now and then, especially when you where there due to being Ill. Anyways .. The doctor is fixated on having you do bloodwork every year. Great. So I got my blood tested every year ...however I NEVER heard back from the doctor with any sort of results even after I called to ask for those results. It was as bad as me not even knowing what was being tested. On two recent occasions, they forgot to send my prescription and even got it wrong; had to wait… a week to get it fixed due to holiday. Ps. They have you go to a separate company with a separate appointment to get blood work done, it’s called Quest. ***Overall, even despite mishaps, I really didn’t ever feel secure with this doctor even after being her client for Years. If you’re looking for a family doctor to trust and rely on for years to come then I wouldn’t choose Dr. Lemez. They treat you like a client, nothing more.*** I’d like someone who is thorough, knowledge and trustworthy and that has nothing to do with bedside manners. This doctor has a few “compassionate plaques” on her wall dated 4 or 5 years ago but where are the plaques that resemble what I’m looking for ...I’ll leave it at that. The office is very small but clean. Didn’t have a problem scheduling appointments, I usualy got seen within then week. Expect to wait during sceudeled appointments. *Nothing mattered or bothered me more then the lack of feeling at ease with a doctor who had intimate knowledge of you.

Dr. Lemez is professional and really cares for my health and wellbeing. Her knowledge and expertise shows in accurately diagnosing and treating me.

I really enjoyed the attention that I received at Dr. Lemez's office, however I stopped going there because I found that the doctor often made mistakes. One easy mistake to mention is with blood work, she told me that my cholesterol was high. When I looked at the results myself, I realized that my cholesterol was actually LOW (I've always had low cholesterol and have had to take supplements to keep it up, so I was surprised to be told that it was high). Also, I've had problems with the billing office. The final issue was when I requested my medical records. If you are to pick up the records yourself, it costs $30!!! I've never heard of that kind of a fee, $5, yes, but $30? That is ridiculous.

Dr. Lemez has been my doctor for few years. She has excellent bedside manners and always takes her time to listen to my problems, concerns, and addresses them properly. It is very easy to schedule appointment especially that she has a website now with scheduling option. I wish there were more wonderful doctors like Dr. Lemez.

Dr. Lemez is one of the best doctor I have ever seen. She is truly my Family Doctor.
