Dr. Alok Bose, MD

I was a patient of Dr. Bose roughly 8 years ago while I was being seen at DGM hospital inside Travis AFB. At the time, I was diagnosed with disease called rheumatic fever which permanently scarred tissue of two of my heart valves. I was first diagnosed by another cardiologist in 1994 and at the time, my heart condition was one in which was very uncommon to the region. I was basically the subject of many fellow cardiologist, PA's, and interns alike, and they all had the rare opportunity to learn from my condition at the time. Dr. Bose was the last cardiologist that I was assign to before my coverage ended at DGM. I remember that Dr. Bose was very professional and knowledgeable about heart health and as well about my condition. He was mostly specializing in pediatric cardiology at the time. He made sure to monitor changes and any abnormal growth to my heart as I was already well into my early 20's. I have lived a moderately active lifestyle since then up to this point. I am… able to engage in a wide variety of activities such as jogging, light swimming, hiking, snowboarding, and exercise at the gym regularly, although age is catching up to me and I cannot run from the fact about my heart limitations forever. It's great to see that he is still in practice which is testament to his quality of work and devotion to heart health. If you have the opportunity to have your child seen by this MD, you won't regret it trust me!

We LOVE Dr. Bose! I won't change my medical insurance if Dr Bose is not my daughters cardiologist!

Dr. Bose is a godsend. My little boy had TAPVR when he was born and Dr. Bose is the one who diagnosed him, then has followed up with him. He is kind, friendly and always speaks in terms we can understand. I would recommend him highly to anyone who is looking for a cardiologist for their little one. :)

Dr. Bose is wonderful with both of my children. He put them both at ease immediately, and truly explained everything thoroughly to both all of us.

I would recommend Dr. Bose over and over again. It is hard to come by a good doctor that is not only caring but smart, up to date and willing to take the time to educate patients. He was great with my son. My son enjoyed his appointment and I felt confident when leaving his office my child was in good hands. Thank you!!! Oh and his office staff was great too!

My daughter was a less apprehensive than I was about her being referred to a Cardiologist. But her experience with Dr Bose was outstanding. He explained everything and truly showed her respect. She became an inquisitive, curious, and information seeker after meeting Dr. Bose. The exam and testing process was so well explained that he was asking the questions of us before we knew what to ask. Thank you so much for the wonderful thoughtfulness that you showed my child and family.

My daughter generally hates going to the doctor, but she really enjoys seeing Dr. Bose. After 17 years with peds cardiologists we really enjoy his friendliness and caring attitude. He listens to our concerns and explains the results of tests and what the normal ranges are and how they relate to our daughter. We hope to never have to change cardiologists again!
