Dr Aluvia Escalante, MD

Dr. Aluvia Escalante is a pediatrician who strives to connect families with the resources they need to live healthy lives.

“I want to keep kids healthy,” she said. “I want to help families find and sustain the motivation they need for living a healthy lifestyle.”

Dr. Escalante believes the best results are achieved when you work toward health goals as a team. Her experience as a patient who needed prolonged hospitalization at a young age taught her the need for communication with patients, the importance of team dynamics and having a unified plan.

As part of the team, she truly enjoys getting to know her patients and learning about what they are involved with and interested in.

“When you get to know your patients, they feel comfortable and empowered to ask questions and to talk to you about any health concerns they may have,” she said.

Dr. Escalante knew she wanted to help people from a young age and was inspired to go into health care after accompanying her great-grandmother at …medical appointments.

Born and raised in Tucson – and a true Wildcats fan – Dr. Escalante completed her undergraduate degree, medical degree, residency training and chief residency training all at the University of Arizona. “I love this town,” she said.

When she’s not working she enjoys attending events that are unique to Tucson, such as the 23 Miles of Mexican Food Festival and the Mariachi Conference. “I really enjoy being a foodie around town and discovering new places, particularly fusion places,” she said.
