Dr. Alyson A Melin, DO

Dr. Melin is inspired by all the women she has the privilege of treating. She recognizes that women often fill a plethora of roles – mothers, spouses, bosses (just to name a few). Women strive to excel in all of these, yet often place themselves near, if not at the bottom, of their long list of priorities. Recognizing this, Dr. Melin has made it her personal goal to empower women that by achieving the best version of themselves, they can fulfill all their roles in a more efficacious manner. To Dr. Melin, plastic surgery is not just simply an isolated cosmetic or reconstructive procedure but instead a cultivated and trusted relationship where together we develop a personalized plan to help each and every patient achieve their personal goals, health, well-being and confidence.
She received a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University. Prior to receiving her Doctor of Osteopathy from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, she taught high school Biology in Los Angeles …with Teach for America. Dr. Melin completed her five-year General Surgery residency at the University of Nebraska-Omaha followed by an additional three years of subspecialty training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Texas Medical Center including Memorial Hermann Hospital and MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Dr. Alyson Melin is a native of the Lehigh Valley. In her free time, Dr. Melin enjoys spending time with her husband, young daughter, rescue dog and family, who still reside in the Valley. She remains athletically active – pelotoning, running, skiing and stand up paddleboarding. She is slowly getting back into the pool, as she was a former All-American swimmer at Emmaus High School and Cornell.
