Summary
Alyssa is originally from New Jersey, but has moved to NYC after completing her last clinical affiliation here with Recovery PT. She received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Ithaca College, after receiving her Bachelor’s in Health Sciences there as well. While at Ithaca College, Alyssa played on the club volleyball team throughout her undergraduate years, and took over as head coach of the team for her two years of graduate school. During her time at Ithaca, Alyssa completed extensive research on female athlete rehabilitation in both aquatic and land environments, with emphasis on balance and strengthening gains. Her love for sports and rehabilitation is what led Alyssa to working in the field of orthopedics. Alyssa has a special interest in working with runners, athletes and the pediatric population, although she has worked with people of all ages! In her free time, she continues to play competitive volleyball in NYC leagues, as well as exploring all NYC has to offer.
