Dr. Amanda Dean Henderson, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Henderson’s for 9 months and have been very pleased with the care she has provided me. She has been very attentive in explaining my condition to me and has patiently answered all my questions. I feel like she empowers me to make informed decisions about my treatment and guides me with her expert knowledge. I am so thankful to live relatively close to receive the best care for my condition from Dr. Henderson. Additionally, she has been wonderful in making sure I get to see her regularly even when her schedule is booked. She is a specialist in high demand, but makes time for me when needed. I highly recommend Dr. Henderson.

I would give less than one star if I could.

Amanda Henderson is extremely rude, unprofessional, uncaring & does not follow through with promised treatment thus breaking her Hippocratic oath. She puts her patients in life-threatening positions. She falsifies patient records to cover herself when she does not provide treatment she states she will provide. As a medical professional she is extremely cold & uncaring in treatment of her patients. She needs remedial medical training as a medical doctor. Her license should be suspended until the Medical Board of MD has her go through retraining, learning to do blood work before prescribing medications (I believe she has learned to do it NOW!). She needs to stop falsifying patients medical records. I am going to protest what I have just read in my chart. She needs to be seen by a psychiatrist to get to the bottom of her distain she treats patients with. She clearly shows it in her interactions, tone of voice. This is unacceptable; especially if she represents Johns Hopkins as a… physician. Why is she in a field that is to provide the best care & treatment of patients? REMEMBER AMANDA: "FIRST: DO NO HARM!" Or were you absent the day all medical students & doctors took the OATH????

Someone needs to tell this supposed dr that MD does not stand for minor deity. She did not listen to anything I had to say, cut me off and contradicted me ever time I tried to speak. Treated me like I was an idiot or lying. Did not dilate to do exam. Did not answer one single question. Acted like she was in a hurry and could not be bothered and then dismissed me like I was a child. I have a very complicated health history with chronic incurable illness and severe heart conditions and neurological problems. My vision is getting worse and worse, with prospects of vision loss being very worrisome. She treated me like there was nothing wring, I was a hypochondriac, even spoke badly of other doctors diagnosis, did a poor excuse for a two minute exam and left the room. I never was able to complete a sentence as she cut me off every time, she did not answer even one question and the whole experience was upsetting and a waste of time.

I had appointment with Dr Henderson. I was having a great experience with the nurse and the resident they were very thorough and caring. I was thinking wow if they're like this I can't wait to see Dr Henderson, wrong answer I felt rush with her. She was checking my eyes and asking me questions about my medical history, she cut me off everytime I tried to answer, she answered for me like I was a kid. I would began to tell her and she say things like just because your MRI shows one thing doesn't mean you are asymptomatic problem, seems like she was trying to make me think I was making up my symptoms base on my MRI and prior diagnosis. I never felt so frustrated. I wish she would have listen to me and believe me when I was trying to tell her all the things I was and still going through. Dr Amanda Henderson though she had a great smile but she needs to allow the patient time to answer her questions. Thank Goodness the resident and nurse listened and made note. I traveled very far that day… only to be mentally pushed away. And emotionally felt like she highly doubted my symptoms. It's so sad for me. Because everything I told the resident and nurse is true. Ask Dr Amanda Henderson to please listen she did exam my eyes and I'm thankful for the great eye exam I received again from techs and resident but not from her
