Dr. Amanda Corey Porter, MD

Amanda Porter is also an FBI agent. Apparently it is perfectly ethical to do psychology related work as a mental health therapist and for law enforcement on the same person.

The sessions reaked of counter-transferrence.

I wasted 7 months seeing this person. The tone of the therapy gradually got more and more cynical and I question why I even bothered.

I gave this woman some time, but ended up switching to a different provider. It was hard to take her seriously at times as I felt she had a well rehearsed approach when talking to all her patients. Unfortunately she was not the one for me. I wouldn't bother.

Dr. Porter is an intuitive, clear, compassionate therapist. She pays attention to what I say and provides helpful feedback. When she asks me to journal, she actually reads my journaling before the next appointment and offers introspective observations that had not occurred to me, yet ring true. Probably one of the best therapists I've known.

Called me "buffalo bill". Very unprofessional and not straightforward.
