Dr. Amar Majmundar, MD, PhD

Amar Majmundar, MD, PhD, is co-director of the Kidney Genetics Clinic and a nephrologist in the Division of Nephrology at Boston Children’s Hospital, as well as an assistant professor of pediatrics at Harvard Medical School. He specializes in pediatric nephrology, with expertise in genetic kidney diseases, nephrotic syndrome, kidney stone disease, chronic kidney disease, hypertension, and other complex renal disorders affecting children and adolescents. Dr. Majmundar earned his undergraduate degree from Temple University and both his MD and PhD in cell and molecular biology from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, and completed his pediatric residency through the Boston Combined Residency Program followed by fellowship training in pediatric nephrology at Boston Children’s Hospital.
