Dr. Amarjeet Singh Dhillon, MD

He should not be allowed to practice ever again. The only reason he got 1 star is I had to for leaving review. He is so rude and disrespectful. I waited four hours, talked to him for no more than two minutes of him telling me to get used to the wait because all of his hospital patients bump the people with appointments. I just walked out and told him he better not charge my insurance company and if he did i would have them charge him with insurance fraud. I just found out a friend of mine is using him for her shrink. They have major PTSD, major depression and anxiety disorder, which was caused by a gun. He has been urging them to get a gun and concealed weapons permit. Are you kidding me? he has urged at least 3 months in a row to get a gun. Why is he even allowed to practice. Does he want them to kill themselves or innocent people? I would really love if someone reading this can direct me to the proper place to report this spawn of… satin I would greatly appreciate it. Please stay away from him, he is dangerous.

I called a week ago left a message had to call back because I never received a return phone call, I gave my son's information I got a phone call back 2 Days Later that said the doctor has chose to refer your son out, I asked so he picks and chooses the patients he sees? Her response was yes that's how he does it. I think that it is ridiculous and totally unprofessional, and probably had something to do with the insurance that he carries in my opinion

After spending weeks getting the nerve up to finally make a call to look for some help I call in and answer some questions, then I'm told I'll be called back. 4 business days later, no call. This is not acceptable.

The doctor is listed as a participant with Ambetter Sunshine Health. Thing is, i have left numerous requests for him to contact me and i get NOTHING. If there was a sub star i would rate this unprofessional even lower.

It's unfortunate that there are a couple of reviews/people who feel they had a bad experience. Dr. Amarjeet Dhillon treated my mother, who mainly has schizophrenia, depression & anxiety, for a couple of DECADES. He successfully and quickly brought her through more than one psychotic break. And for this, I am forever grateful! Without his expertise & willingness to make sure my mom reached her full potential, my mom's life would have been filled with constant torment from her own mind. I don't feel he has ever over medicated her. During one of the recoveries, I started doing my homework on the medications and when he asked how things were going he may not have been expecting direct requests on increases & decreases to particular medications, but he listened to my (*then* 20-something year old) layperson assessment (when he had already been a doctor for several years) and briefly explained to me what course of action we could take & why. His office is constantly packed! It… would be a paradox for a doctor to have that successful of a practice/following by making incorrect assessments, diagnoses and treatment plans. -Rhonda W

He takes his time with all his patients

This doctor has no respect for his patients and their time. His staff booked patients including my son at 11 am and he showed up at 12:45 pm. I had to take the rest of the day off from work for this appointment. I do not recommend this doctor to anyone, he is not reliable.

Dr. Dhillon always talked to me very well and was careful in his prescribing process.

It sickens me to give this man even 1 star. I was wrongfully baker acted against my will. When arriving to the medical facility in New Port Richey on the first day, EVERY SINGLE staff member I met immediately knew I didn't belong there. When I was entered in, I was assigned Dr Dhillon, and a few had warned me about him. The second he saw me, I TRIED to explain to him what happened where the wrongful detention took place that led me there, but he didn't even let me speak, would keep talking over me, and kept ignoring me even when I was talking. I told him that I didn't belong there for the reasons which were assumed by law enforcement (which lied on the police report leading me there) and verbally acknowledged my claim by saying he believes me, but wanted to treat me for SOMETHING ELSE other than what I was brought in for. He refused to discharge me and tried to force me to take medicine that I did not need. Since day 1 my wife has desperately tried to find a way to get me out of there.… After two encounters with him I've just about had it since I was unlawfully detained by his authority constantly. On day 3 I was supposed to be discharged by law. When Dr Dhillon knew this, he tried to force me to sign a voluntary admission form so that I stay longer, I refused and he threatened me saying that if I didn't he would just baker act me again and keep me for another week. I put my foot down and walked out on him. I pursued a Writ of Habeas Corpus which led to me getting in front of a judge to explain the truth, along with other staff members who testified towards my claim. The judge ruled in my favor and I was discharged later that day. PLEASE....if you or anyone you know have Dr Amarjeet Dhillon, seek immediate action against him in any way possible!!! My insurance plan is excellent, and the Dr knew this, keeping me there as long as possible to collect a lot of money for the 6 minutes he spent with me IN TOTAL over the course of 3 days. God will surely punish those who pursue evil, and I believe Dr Dhillon is definitely a wicked man, so please BEWARE!

Absolutely the worst doctor I have ever met in my entire life. Horrible person. Has no care about anyone. Prescribes drugs that are not needed, and changes your dosage to such a high degree that you feel like your dying. Horrible bedside manner. Condescending. Puts words in your mouth before you can say anything. Walks away from you when you are talking, spends about 3 mins talking to you and immediately "knows" what's wrong with you. Absolutely the worst doctor ever!!!! THE MEDICAL BOARD NEEDS TO TAKE HIS LICENCE AWAY!!
