Amber M. Brody, DO

Right. I am a Co-Founder of the International Center for Clinical Excellence. More, I have co-authored or co-edited nine books, two award winning, seven in my area of specialization. As I recently turned 75 and have had to cope with polypharmacy (a consequence of too many medications, prescribed by too many treaters with no one watching the shop), I sought the services of a geriatrician. In brief, I find this physician decidedly smart and caring. She shows an energy and engagement seldom seen when the prime directive of many a practice is to "get 'em and get 'em out in 10-minutes. On this score, she takes time to listen, to think, offer reasoned opinions and recommendations. On top, she possesses a marvelous wit. As it is, in modern medicine, it is incumbent on the patient to advocate for one's care. That responsibility is made all the easier when you find a physician who communicates in word and manner, I am in this with you.

I LOVE Doctor Brody and so does my husband. My husband has Parkinson's, has had heart issues and psychiatric issues. She is warm and caring and kind to him. I see her too, and when I was a new patient, she sent me for baseline tests with a mammography, dermatologist and colonoscopy. I followed her instructions, and ended up having breast cancer, and a small amount of skin cancer. She followed all my health records quietly from a distance and was able to assist me when I needed it. She also sends me for blood work and asks me if there is any blood work I want to add in - I always ask to test for Lyme - and she adds it in. I just love her.

Dr. Amber Brody has been the only doctor I’ve seen that has been able to identify a mystery rash I have battled on and off for years as a severe allergy to Poison Ivy. I have been misdiagnosed and given multiple creams and medication without ever knowing what it was and then in turn reinfecting myself year after year for months on end. I was even told that I had Shingles by a Dermatologist! She took the time to really research and ask the right questions and when she heard I am an avid gardener she was able recognize the severe Poison Ivy welts. Now that I have healed thanks to proper Rx I am able to prevent getting it again vs treating it acutely with harmful steroids. She is so kind and dedicated and I highly recommend her! Thank you Dr. Brody!

Dr. Brody is very kind and down to earth. She is an integral part of our community in caring for our elders as she practices both Family and Geriatric Medicine. She is also very versed in Holistic and OTC therapeutics and treatments. Dr. Brody finds time to spend with all her patients and sits down next to you and listens as long as you need her. I trust her 100%! It's also nice to have a younger doctor that I can age with.

Dr. Brody saw me as a new patient recently. She made me feel very comfortable right away. She asked all the right questions, listened carefully about my concerns and addressed them promptly and with ease. She made certain I left with all my questions answered, and recommended a brilliant ob/gyn for me as well. I feel very lucky to have found such a warm, caring, smart new primary care physician.

I will not be returning to see Dr Brody or visiting the Wilton Medical center. I called as a new patient to schedule an annual physical. While at my appointment I discussed my issues with a yeast infection with DR Brody. She laughed and told me to just "stick garlic up there. Or use yogurt". I teared up because I clearly was not being listened too and receiving obviously horrible medical advice, to which she told me "if you want something to cry about you should come with me to the senior center. Those people have real problems". Additionally, I received a large bill because I was billed as a new patient with a recurring infection and not as an annual physical so I can been saddled with a large bill that my insurance does not cover.I cannot recommend against this doctor more!
