Dr. Amber Dawn Shamburger, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Shamburger’s since 2011. She has been awesome in every aspect! She has great bedside manner and listens to everything you have concerns about! I’m just so happy to have found her since moving here! She will take good care of you!!

I chose this doctor because she was close to my home. As with any new provider, I was a little apprehensive. It was unwarranted, because she and her staff were awesome. I didn’t feel rushed and everyone was polite and professional.

I used to go to her office for over 5 years and I delivered my baby with her. When I delivered my baby, it seemed like she was just pleased to help me and nice to me at that time, however, Dr. Shamburger and other doctors often don't seem that nice. In addition, the receptionists are just horrible, always. I rarely had a pleasant interaction with the receptionists at the office during the periods I went. They just don't know how to have good bedside manner by phone or in person. I don't recommend you to go there!

Dr. Shamburger and her staff are very professional, prompt, friendly and courteous.

She was completely rude and disrespectful because I dared to question her opinion. I was told people do what I tell them.

Dr Shamburger is wonderful. She is laid back and so easy to talk to. The last thing you need during your pregnancy is MORE stress, and she helps ease your worries. Her bedside manner is beyond reproach. She never made me feel stupid for asking a question or raising a concern. Unfortunately, I had a different OB for the birth of my first child... I only wish I would've found Dr Shamburger sooner. I would recommend her to anyone. Her staff is INCREDIBLY friendly and her online patient portal is great. Before my most recent visit, I got a phone call from her office that she had to deliver a baby and was possibly going to be 10 minutes late for the appointment. They gave me the option to wait or reschedule. I chose to wait, and she still ended up making it there on time. I think other Drs wouldn't be concerned with this and wouldn't have bothered calling... But that's just one example of the courteous nature of the entire staff at this office.

I loved Dr. Shamburger when I first went to see her--she was so personable. I felt very comfortable. So when she scheduled me for "routine" surgery to remove a cyst, I did not do any research on her. Big mistake. That was 15 months ago, and to say that my life has not been the same would be an understatement. She caused severe nerve damage, and I still cannot sit in a chair or perform regular functions like going to the grocery store. I take strong pain and nerve deadening medication every three hours just to live a semi-normal life with my wonderful husband. At my one-week follow up, Dr. Shambuger described her surgical technique to remove the cyst with the word, "digging," However, she never took responsibility for severing the nerves. When I asked her three months after the surgery why I was still in so much pain (I already knew the answer as I had already seen a neurologist--she knew too), her answer was, "It's because of your sensitivity to pain." I just looked at her, and asked… if that's all she thought it was (I had my last two babies 100% naturally, so she was really reaching), and she answered, very softly, "And the nerve." Don't be fooled by her personable demeanor. Find a doctor who is personable and knows how to practice medicine.

I have seen her since 2010 for both of my pregnancys and would not go anywhere else she is the best! Always very polite makes going to the Dr alittle less stressful. If you want excellent care go to Shamburger!
