Dr. Amberly Renee Orr

Greetings, I have been dealing with lower back pain for the past 6 years and each time I sought relief from another pain management clinic all I received was more pills, less treatment, and months of wondering if I was ever going to find a solution to my back pain. I was basically on my own. Finally, after seeking treatment at Emerg Ortho and working with Dr. Orr I now have a plan to hopefully find long term relief from my back issues. I've seen her on 5 occasions 3 back injections and 2 counseling; each time I felt like I finally had a pain management specialist who cared and wanted to see me get some relief from my back issues. Knowledgeable, caring and a true professional in her practice. Thanks Doc Orr. Mr. Chambers

Excellent experience Home doing well

My procedure was very fast and while it’s only been a day I can’t give any update on the pain management, I will say the experience with the doctor was interesting. This was first time receiving a service of this kind (epidural). the second nurse had me lay face down on the table after having my vitals and paperwork taken previously. i didn’t get to see my doctor, nor speak to her before she was behind me. I also wasn’t explained anything prior to the appointment, so I wasn’t aware whether or not I’d receive anesthesia even though I signed off on receiving it. She did say when she was going to touch me and that I’d feel a pinch, but this was the extent of the communication until I asked. The lack of communication cause me severe anxiety as I had no idea what was going on behind me, to me. I asked during if the doctor could “explain the process a bit” to calm my nerves, and she seemed confused and asked if there was something specific I wanted to know. I said I’d never been here nor… had this done so I was nervous and all I got was a “don’t worry you’re in good hands”. While I’m sure this is true by the efficiency, bedside manner and the comfortability of your patients is just as important a factor and I was not satisfied with the lack of care. I told the nurses I was nervous to begin with and this was still my experience.
