Dr. Ambika M Softa, MD

I had an appointment today morning at 8:10 AM and I reached to office at 8:00 AM and front office is slower than snails(Even DMV employee can do better job). They didn't start the paperwork until 8:30 AM. I have to do 3 type of paper work. one pile of paper work, second in they manually enter in the system and third I have to enter again in tablet. It has been more than an hour and half and couldn't even get a chance to see the doctor yet. Staff is unprofessional and not disrespect for others time. World is changing and we are living in the 2020 I think there are better options in the area and I will recommends to avoid at any cost and at anytime.

Doctor couldn’t remember information and kept repeating the same thing. She gave me incorrect information and said oh sorry wrong patient. I left not feeling afraid of her competence.

It doesn't make sense to have to wait so long to be seen even with an appointment the wait is still ridiculous.

I came to Dr. Softa when i couldn't find a doctor last minute for a pain in my foot. When we couldnt figure out what was going on after months and months of meetings with specialists, she referred me to a doctor at UCLA who helped me. She was good, attentive, and was always available on her personal cell on the weekends.

I went to Dr. Softa as a new patient and will NEVER go back! She did not care to listen to the medical problems I was having and she was VERY rude! I had fractures in both feet and 9 months later still having a very hard time walking. All she inquired about was me getting a pap smear (really???) I had all tests sent over and she did not even bother to look at them or examine me. I went in hoping to get help and left in tears and frustration. Whenever I tried asking about help for my feet she would not let me talk and just rushed me out with a referral for a pap? She is a QUACK if you ask me! You really are treated like cattle and her bedside manner is the WORST!!

To make a doctor's visit a possitive experience you need more than a good Doctor. It is frustating to visit the office or call and try to ask the assistant that gives appointments. It's Hard to talk to the Doctor in person and understand her. When you call is costumary to have you wait 5-7 minutes, then when you make your question you are cut and put on hold for another 5-7 minutes, if you pass your test on patience and ask again (because the assistant probably forgot she put you on hold), you get a grumpy answer and make you leave a message in somebody's extension. They are never clear in the office if they are in the AETNA network or not and charge "an office visit" for just picking up exams. Feels like they want take advantage of you. Any way, just wanted to share my frustration.

Dr Softa has been treating me for about 5 years for HBP, Although we haven't achieved the goal in getting it under control. She seemed concerned, ran test, and sent me to specialist.. She would listen to me on my medication concerns I believe she did what she could for me. I think I have given up on myself. I cant stand being on meds and feel my heart racing when I see the BP cuff being used on me and find myself rescheduling my Dr appts due to anxiety? I have seen several doctors for my hypertension but she has been the best over all....
