Dr. Amelia Bindas, PhD

DO NOT GO TO HER! As a professional myself, I saw no use of any therapeutic techniques she claims to know. Further, she discouraged me from getting a psyc evaluation when I was as in crisis. She spent most sessions talking more than I did. She’s a racist. I have nothing good to say about her services.

My wife and I contacted Ms Bindas for couples therapy. Without going into too much detail, it was a very bad experience for us. I do not recommend seeking her services for couples therapy. She never articulated a plan for therapy -- except she wanted us to commit to book a full year of appointments with each of us individually. When my wife and I started discussing with each other what Ms Bindas was telling us in our individual sessions, we realized she was playing us off of each other and not trying to pursue a resolution to our problems. We immediately terminated our engagement with her.

Has her own “baggage“ that she projected onto my circumstances. Actually made things worse for Me and my partner and instead of helping us work through issues and goal of improving our marriage, actually made things worse. It felt like it was her agenda all along. She did the same thing to 3 other couples I know. I don’t think she got over her own divorce. Needs therapy herself.

Exceptional brilliance and works hard with every individual, well respected and continues to serve each person as an individual, highly qualified in many fields and has helped many through all life's struggles and challenges.

Dr. Bindas helped us to see that a perspective and attitude change could make all the difference in the world! And the beauty is that we work it on a daily basis just the same as we would brush our teeth. Talk about effective treatment! It's the best.

We found Dr. Bindas to be understanding and comforting, and effective in her treatment plan. We did our homework, watched the films and we were ready to discuss with her our findings from the week's work at our next session. We found Dr. Bindas to me most helpful.

After several "consultations" it got to the point she started acting like a captain who wanted to dictate her way to 2 clients what and how. Finally felt started downgrading, stepping on me and lost all (if I had any from day 1) respect and walked out from her room. I never want to have anything to do with a style like that ever.

I went to Dr. B at an extremely stressful time in my life. At first, I thought she was helping but soon realized that she was making things worse! She discouraged me from getting assessed by a psychiatrist and essentially bullied me into going along with the goals that she set FOR me.
