Dr. Amelia Wong Ng, MD

I waited about 3 weeks to get into to see her. Her staff had all my information including insurance etc. When I got there, I had no appt. supposedly waiting on referral. My insurance does not require referral. I did have my medical records, so she did see me. I was pleasantly surprised that the dr was nice. She spent close to 2 hours with me. She was thorough and listened. However, I was suppose to have test and see another dr and her staff did not set up any of it. I'm not sure if she is just starting out because her staff is 1 person. I realize 1 person can't do it all. Her medical assistant is the front desk, appointments, insurance and referrals. If there is no follow through, whose fault is it? The dr seemed to be well educated and kind. Her "staff" was also nice. She is not an internist she is a pulmonologist.

I was very dissatisfied with Dr. Ng overall. She wanted me to see a psychiatrist to fill my Zoloft and ambien when I had been on both drugs for over 5 years and they were both prescribed for me by an internist not a psychiatrist. She even told me at one point she did not take care of patients unless they were a lot sicker than me when she was recommended by another Dr. In her building to help taper me off of blood pressure meds. After gastric sleeve surgery. Be prepared for a long wait when going to see her. Not very professional. She is an internist so she should be able to prescribe the same drugs as other internists. My daughter is fighting cancer and she just took away my ambien knowing I was going through tough times and could not sleep. Remove internist from your internet ad if you just want to be a pulmologist! Had to find new dr. Because living here temporarily for daughters cancer treatment or would still be seeing my previous Dr. Would not recommend her unless you are sick… enough in her words to treat!
