Dr. Amer Mahmud Kazi, MD

Consistently late (45+ min) and withholds treatment/medication if you owe him anything. 1 copay behind and he refuses to see you. Has unrealistic views on what a patient can do. (Check yourself into a hospital) He thinks his patients should be happy to be alive, no matter what pain they are in.

Dr Kazi has a terrible bedside manner. He literally told me today that my Rheumatology specialist at IU made a mistake in diagnosing me as well as multiple other Drs that were wrong as well. He stated that the only reason I need medications were only if I were dying from cancer. I've been a chronic pain patient for 11 years now. He has met me twice and acted as if he knew my history. His NP is actually very compassionate but somehow he has lost touch of what it takes to work in healthcare. I've worked in Healthcare for over 25yrs. Never in all of my years have I witnessed a physician with such a degrading humiliating personality. He can use the Gov crack down on meds as a crutch...all he wants. The only thing that will come of this is more visits to the emergency room and a higher suicide rate. I have NEVER misused or abused medications alcohol or drugs for that matter. So in your search of finding a physician whom is compassionate and worried about your overall… wellbeing....you may want to skip his practice. He does NOT live up to what's listed on his Facebook page. He also stated I was receiving LDN for addiction to opiates....thinking maybe he should educate himself on LDN in treatment for fibromyalgia. Visit couldve gone much better had he got to know his patient rather than coming in and placing blame on other Medical Doctors and advising me as if I dont know my own body.

Understand and know the difference between LDN and the treatment of fibro vs Naltrexone in the treatment of opiate addiction. Patients can die in your care if u continue to judge them without knowing their history.

I waited for 3.5 hours to be seen. The doctor was overwhelmed with his nurse practitioner on vacation. He was abrupt, rude and accused me of purposely not getting an MRI done when I was waiting for insurance approval and a phone call from MRI office. The office manager apologized to me along with a receptionist saying he was wrong. That he doesn't understand beauroceatic side of medicine. He made me embarrassed, sad and I felt like he was berating me like a drug seeker. I have followed every step, every direction in a timely manner that has been submitted by the doctor. I feel humiliated and in pain. I would not recommend seeing him. I will never ever see his smug, condescending face again. Please find a more intelligent doctor. There has to be more options than this.

This is the most ridiculous doctor I've ever been to! I have multiple injorys including bulging disc, herniated disc, crushed disc in my neck and degenerative disc disease. This guy process to tell me about his injury's and compairing them to mine stateing "the pain is in my head". I have MRIs and a family doc telling me I need surgery. He tells me all I need are injections. The injections never worked and he refused to write me pain meds even though I've been on them for over two years. I moved back here from Las Vegas and showed him my records stating I'm on pain meds. He said it's all in my head? The man's a quack!

Dr Kazi is an amazing doctor. He has always been attentive to all my concerns all the time. Dr Kazi has helped manage my pain as well as other issues regarding my health that has surfaced over the time in his care. At times his office staff have had issues dealing with the demands of the office but I think things are changing in a positive direction that way. Some of the staff that are worrisome are no longer there. I recommend Dr. Kazi!

He was wonderful to me. He gave pain medicine Wich if you're not really in pain move on. He gives his cancer patients Tramadol. He believed I was hurting but didn believe what one of the top 2 Rheumatologist plus countless others diagnosed me with. Whatever he treated my pain.

While I was seeing doctor he became abusive about personal problems I had. The abuse becam so drastic even his nurse became abusive also. The doctor would schedule appointments and did not addresse any issues about my illness. Shuffle papers for two or three minutes then terminated the appointment. However, he still insisted that I pay for the appointment.

I saw Dr. Kazi about 3 years ago and he charges high! My insurance company which I talk to, while I was waiting in the patient room. The insurance personal told me as I was called out to the front office, that Dr. Kazi is charging to much for patient care and not to pay anything extra after my treatment. Dr. Kazi came in and he was just very rude! I am going to get an injection into my my hand around the thumb area! He did the injection and hit my bone on top where my thumb is. I knew that if I did not get my injection I would be in pain. He did the injection and then walk out, but that was after he had no needle in his hand. But, I told him how unprofessional he was and I was going to report him. It was for a little amount of money around $256.00 dollars he was overcharging. It was just not me it was everyone. I never went back and have told others. Now, I am sharing my story with anyone who is going to him. The office staff was very rude and unprofessional. Dr. Kazi… nurse was just a normal young girl who hated her job! You could just feel the coldness from them all. Why don't doctors listen and spend time with there patients? If they dislike there profession then they should not be practicing at all. It would make a lot of patients happier. Who needs a old grumpy doctor, who hates there job and people. Get out while you can. We need more professional doctors in all professions to care for there patients. Not turn there back on them. They get paid good and we the patients go to them for answers. We pay them for our CARE! ð???

I suffered a head injury over a decade ago and have been treated by some of the best doctors in the state where I formerly lived. Kazi did not believe the head injury even though I was accompanied by a family member. He refused to even request ANY previous medical records and wanted me to get several new tests I had already done!! This would have cost me over $1000 so I sought a second opinion. At my next appointment, Kazi angrily told me that I either "trusted him or not" but if I was his patient his opinion was the only one that mattered! I requested again that he review my previous medical records because he was requesting a cat scan I had done only 8 months before and he told me things change and he didn't trust any of my former doctors!!! Run, do not walk, away from this man. His arrogance is going to hurt someone someday.
