Ami Bhavsar-Cohn, CRNP, is a family medicine nurse practitioner at MedStar Health Primary Care at Great Mills. Her areas of clinical interest include anxiety/depression, chronic disease diagnosis and management (hypertension, diabetes and hyperlipidemia), men’s health, pediatrics ages 2 and older, preventive care and wellness, and women’s health (annual exams, menopause, birth control). “My philosophy of care has always been centered around putting my patients and their families first. Always. Compassion, collaboration, attentiveness, positivity, and respect are core values I hold very near and dear to my heart, and drive how I practice. I treat my patients like I would want my own family treated. While I must stay true to my training, knowledge, and expertise, my goal is to work together with my patients to come up with an individualized evidence-based plan of care that will meet their needs and keep them healthy.”
