Summary
I was born in Anchorage, Alaska, and spent most of my youth there. Prior to high school, I moved back to our family farm in Wenatchee, Washington, where my parents own a 30-acre cherry orchard. I worked in the orchard and appreciated living in a smaller community. I attended Whitworth College in Spokane, Washington, for my undergraduate degree in chemistry. I liked the area, so I decided to pursue my residency in Eastern Washington. I_ve lived in Spokane ever since. I greatly enjoyed community service and helping others as a girl scout. I also liked science in school and was fortunate to have wonderful teachers who helped nurture that passion.
