Dr. Amir Ebrahim Ettekal, MD

I have worked with Dr. Ettekal for about 2 years now post a very rough divorce; he was recommended to me when I first moved to the South Bay. I can't say enough about the quality of his approach, his care, and his diligence and knowledge with regards to matching you with effective medicines as well as his flexibility to consider natural supplements for anxiety maintenance. In my experience, the behavioral professionals I have worked with seemed disconnected or not engaged. Dr. Ettekal is different...in combination with his very engaging personality, he is very collaborative...upon leaving his sessions, I feel a sense of relief and renewal. This guy is a solid physician. He is thorough and won't push meds on you. After spending an hour and a half with him, I felt like he knew me better than I knew myself. He was the first person who understood me and what I was going through. My depression has gone away and life looks a lot better now. I highly recommend him. It is worth your time and money to not live another day where you dread getting out of bed and facing the day.

Dr. Ettekal was referred to us by a family friend who was aware of my son's recent problems with depression and anxiety. In the three months that he and my son have been working together I have seen tremendous improvements in my son. He is well enough now to hold on to the job that he was in serious danger of losing, his relationship with his girlfriend is on the mend, he is more social and is finally ready to move back out on his own.
