This doctor prioritizes profit over patient care, constantly pushing unnecessary SURGERY. My son fracture his finger he scheduled surgery. Went to get second opinion my son just need a cast NO SURGERY. Avoid at all costs unless you enjoy risking your health in the hands of someone utterly inept.

Dr. Amit Patel is an exceptional doctor and both he and the office staff at Atlanta Hand Specialists exceeded all my expectations. My hand was severely lacerated and my ring finger was badly broken. After a trip to the ER, I was referred to Atlanta Hand Specialists. I’m so glad. Dr. Patel saw me so quickly and operated on my hand the day after being seen. It was such a friendly office and easy to talk with everyone. Dr. Patel was very knowledgeable and professional. He took the time to answer all my questions and he thoroughly explained my treatment options, procedures and follow up. He kindly asked if I understood his explanations, and if I had further questions. My surgery was well coordinated, successful and painless. My pain during healing was well controlled, plus my hand healed quickly and is now fully functional with no scarring. I sincerely thank Dr. Patel for his exceptional care and I highly recommend Dr. Amit Patel and Atlanta Hand Specialists.

I had a really bad experience. I felt and fracture the tip of my finger. He put a big cast and scheduled a surgery. I had a second opinion and they not only took the big cast and put a little splint…I didn’t need surgery. I am doing great, not even remember that I had a broken finger. I had to pay all the bills that he charged me…including the big and unnecessary cast.

I injured a finger in an accident and it said on my er release to see a hand surgeon as needed. I assumed that actually meant as needed and waited several weeks before calling the hand clinic. When I saw dr Patel he pretty much berated me several times in my 5 minute appointment that I had waited too long and he could do nothing for me. I accept that it might have been too late but see no reason to treat me as he did. I’d never recommend him or the clinic to anyone.

Very unprofessional, no people skills, customer service was awful; asked to see the office manager and the receptionist lied and told me she was in a meeting!
