Dr. Amit M. Patel is a double board-certified physician in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. He is originally a Georgia native but grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Economics at the University of Tennessee, and earned his doctorate from Ross University School of Medicine. Dr. Patel went on to finish his Anesthesia residency training at Detroit Medical Center in Detroit, MI and followed up his anesthesia training by completing an ACGME accredited Pain Medicine fellowship at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. During his time in Michigan, he also served as chief house physician for residents and fellows at Beaumont Hospital.
Dr. Patel is specialized in a variety of minimally invasive interventional pain techniques including ultrasound and fluoroscopic/X-ray procedures. His special interests include neuromodulation/spinal cord stimulation, sympathetic nerve blocks, and radiofrequency denervation.
