Dr. Amit Verma, MD

I have seen many doctors for my medical issue over the last year and Dr Verma was by far the best I have seen. The entire experience from walking into the waiting room, the medical assistant, and intern alone made the experience better. But once Dr Verma walked in I felt relief for the first time. His bedside manner was refreshing. For the first time in a year my husband and I felt like someone was finally listening to us and our concerns. Dr Verma gave us his full attention and made us feel comfort in that we were in the right place.

I have recommended Methodist to people that have or know other people that have epilepsy. Houston Methodist cured me. It's astonishing to say that I am epilepsy free. I am a functional adult. The entire team has treated me with heartfelt care. I am forever grateful.

I think Dr. Verma is an awesome Dr. I've even recommended him to friends of mine. He's a good Dr.

Dr Verma has always prioritized my health and is very supportive. He also listens to me and puts together the best treatment plan for me. I think he is a wonderful doctor.

I traveled with my mother to see Dr. Verma. I have had seizures since I was 7 years old. Dr. Verma was running behind as was explained by his front office staff. From the moment we walked in the door and were greeted, I knew things were going to be different (for better). The staff walked in while we waited to brief the patients in the waiting area on Dr. Verma’s status and offer water and coffee along with directions to the restrooms. We really did not wait very long. The nurse who did the intake notes was very attentive. Upon meeting Dr. Verma, it became quite evident why he might run a little behind. He the most thorough physician I have ever seen. He first read through the records I brought from my previous doctor. He really read them and then as he was asking questions, he would refer back to things he had taken mental note of in his reading. He wanted to gather as much information as he could about me, my life and my condition. I know he is giving me his best and I feel… absolutely confident in Dr. Verma’s ability to find the answers to questions my doctors have been unable to answer most of my life. Dr. Verma is busy and it takes a long time to get an appointment. It is well worth the wait and well worth any amount of travel to see this doctor.

Dr. Verma seems to be a nice guy. We switched from TCH (big mistake) to Dr. Verma. Prior to our first visit with Verma, his office did not bother to request medical records from TCH. It has been several months since the initial visit and he has slightly adjusted meds over the phone. We have a follow up visit later this week and I was notified that they NEVER requested or received the records from TCH. Dr. Verma's office is very slow to return phone calls. Very unhappy with the service from this doctors office.
