Dr. Amitabha Gupta, MD

I had cataract surgery (Lens Implant) and the doctor doing the surgery on the next day follow up visit noted something was not right and had Dr Gupta examine me and immediately had me go to the hospital where he and his assistant already had a bed ready and waiting and was there waiting for me. I was scared to death but he calmed me down and told me everything that was going to happen each step of the way. This guy was AWESOME as far as I am concerned and would highly recommend him!!!!!!!

10 pages of paperwork await you on your 1st visit. This isn't the worst part... If you don't agree to sign for collections people harassing you combined with attorneys fees at 33%, you will be denied service. We all know how insurance companies take some time to pay the bills so if you are not prepared to sign your life away, you may not want to come here. The sad part is that most of the people waiting in the lobby were elderly and probably couldn't read the fine print or were on fixed incomes and would probably have problems paying the bill. It shows a lot of compassion with these insulting threats of sicking a collection agency after the people who really need the medical attention. Most of us wouldn't agree to a 20% interest credit card but Dr. Gupta wants an extra 33% on day one that you are late with the bill. For all of Dr. Gupta's existing customers, I suggest you read the fine print on your contract! Maybe I don't enough about legal contracts or collection agencies as… I've never made a late payment to anyone, but I'd rather take a chance elsewhere than risk the consequences of a billing department error.

Dr. Gupta is an incredible doctor and is excellent at diagnosing in the earliest stages and providing preventative measures. My family has complete faith in him and one reason is he is always available for questions when we have called the office. I recommend him to my friends who need eye care especially related to diabetes.

I had some problem in my eye he gave me an appointment right away and took take care of my eyes.

Dr. Gupta is a brilliant and compassionate doctor. When I was hammering a nail in, part of the metal chipped off and had entered into my eye like a sharpnel, which filled my eye with blood and caused a retinal detachment - several doctors said that it would not be possible to fix the eye, and that it must be removed before it got infected. On extremely short notice, Dr. Gupta was able to perform a miraculous surgery to save the eye - I now have 20 / 40 vision in that eye, thanks to Dr. Gupta! His staff was extremely professional and curteous, and I could not have asked for a better outcome!
