Dr. Daniel Ira Ross, MD

He know what he’s doing, sure, but I really resent having to sit and wait for an hour after his assistants have run scans and done the basics for him to stroll in, tell me everything looks good and then stroll out. Can I get reimbursed by him for the hour of work I lost while waiting?

Dr Ross, Connie and the entire staff have our sincere thanks for caring for the entire family, bout especially for our daughter who has very complicated conditions.

Saved my sight! If it wasn't for Dr. Ross' skills and immediate attention, I would have lost my sight. I had a severely detached retina and was close to blindness. That was over 20 years ago. He and his awesome staff have taken care of my eyes since that time. He is truly the best in the Lehigh Valley. I would not trust my precious vision to anyone else. I recommend everyone that I know who needs vision care to LV Center For Sight. This is the second review I have written on behalf of Lehigh Valley Center for Sight, specifically Dr. Ross. I have been a patient of Dr. Ross since 1992. In short, he saved my eye sight and I will forever be grateful. Typical for me, my case was a difficult one. Through the skill and knowledge of Dr. Ross, my eyes are in good health to this day. I would like to make a comment to others that seem to write negative or less than flattering reviews of Lehigh Valley Center for Sight and its staff. In almost all cases, the criticism is… about waiting time or a rude receptionist or confusion over an appointment. In my long history of visits to Lehigh Valley Center for Sight, I may have only had to wait outside my appointment schedule once or twice. I expect to wait when I go to any appointment, whether for an eye exam with Dr. Ross, who in my educated opinion is the best ophthalmologist in the Lehigh Valley and probably beyond, or my family doctor, who I also consider to be one of the best around. Must I be so complacent and willing to receive bad service you ask? I am not receiving bad service. I am receiving the finest care possible for very valuable assets that are irreplaceable, my eyes. I have never witnessed any rude behavior from the staff. In fact, the front check in desk has been very courteous to me. I have always been very well treated and cared for by Dr. Ross’ exam room assistants. And the opticians group, Fairmont Optical, has also been awesome, always helping me select the correct frames and lenses for my needs. As for face time with Dr. Ross-never once did he rush out of the room after he examined my eyes. He has always been professional and thorough. He spends as much time with me, answering questions, as I require. And he always fully explains test results and any pending issues along with potential courses of treatment. The greater concern for all of those who put a wait time over quality of the medical and support staff is beyond reason and intellect. I would gladly wait knowing that my eyes will be checked and treated by the best. (As a side note, they do need better magazines)

My recent visit was a nightmare. I was to get a laser treatment where upon my wheelchair height was too low to properly line with machine. Therefore no treatment. Well a taller chair would have been the answer it's not rocket science fellows!!!

The staff & Ross were rude. Ross has no manners, cold-hearted & no respect for the patient! He knew I was very upset about a needle in my eye. but did not explain or talk to us before or after. Walked in, said hello & walked out without a word. Never checked to see if they put enough of drops in my eye. just cold & rude! they still keep calling me to set appointments.... Guess he needs money. I will never go back!!

Dr. Ross did not explain my husband's condition. After surgery, he called me on the cell phone even though I was waiting in the recovery area for him. At the follow up appointment, he told his assistant what was the issue instead of my husband. When we had questions, he said he was stepping out to discuss and then did not come back. He left his assistant to answer the questions.

I did not like this doctor. He was short with is answers and did not take time to explain anything to me. I had to request for him to come back into the room to ask him more questions. He also caused me pain when he was examing me and did not even apologize when he made the mistake.

Doing excellent work in taking of my wife's macular degenteration and throughly explains about it. Any problems he also gives the patient options as to proceedings so they have a chance to say what they want to do.
