Dr. Amory John Fiore, MD

Very poor judgment! Poor diagnosis. Poor execution. Recommended surgery when not needed, resulting in permanent nerve damage. Unable to diagnose same months after surgery. Do not recommend!

Had a fairly simple discectomy two years ago. Surgery was an utter failure, resulting in root nerve damage. I am much worse off now than before surgery. Would not recommend this surgeon1

I was injured in my military career and for 29 years have managed through neck and spine pain caused from it, that became unbearable with numbness to my fingers and inability to sleep, sit or work. I have never had nerve pain like I did and when I saw Dr. Nocek who sent me for X-ray then MRI to determine what was happening. While waiting for results he sent me to physical therapy and to Dr. Heflter a physiatrist for an injection to help relieve the symptoms until we could determine what to do. Bottomline, I needed spine surgery. I saw ONS neurosurgeon Dr. Fiorie who got me right in to surgery and repaired 3 discs and cleaned up the problems. Immediately, and that's no joke, immediately, I could tell I was on the mend. I've had chronic pain for 29 years and now, almost three months out, the constant ache and nerve pain isn't there. Best part of my ONS experience was that everything is onsite and getting to the bottom of this just took a few short days. Everyone works like a… team. They are specialists, unlike my experience at the VA. Meanwhile, they helped me manage the pain. I have never experienced this before and am very pleased with the results. If you need a neuro, specialized ortho, physiatrist or physical therapy, I totally recommend ONS.

Dr. Fiori is the best surgeon in this country. My spinal fusion was painless. He is the MAN!!!!

Dr A. Friore is one of the most brilliant Drs I've ever seen. His diagnosis of my back and leg problems was right on target and also his successful surgery performance on my back. The pain, weakness, and numbness on my back and leg have gotten much better. I'll be always grateful to Dr Fiore for being a caring Dr and and excellent neurological surgeon.

After interviewing the best neurosurgeons of the spine at ALL the New York City hospitals, and having one minor spine surgery go wrong at one major NYC hospital, I turned to Dr. Fiore to help me with my deteriorating, and very painful, spine problems. Two surgeries later, I feel better than ever, and am entirely free of any pain. I only wish I had known about this surgeon sooner in my life. My father was his patient first, and our family was so delighted with his skills as a surgeon and personal manner that we have been sending patients to him knowing they too will be delighted with their outcomes. A gifted surgeon and a lovely man.
