Dr. Amy D. Atkeson

Dr. Atkeson spent more time with me explaining my sleep apnea and what I could do about it than any other doctor has ever spent with me. She was patient and answered every question I had. I am sad to hear that she's leaving. She is a really good doctor and I hope she is staying in New York.

So smart, so nice, always runs on time. Very respectful. Her office staff seems a little scattered/overworked a lot of the time but honestly so is the staff at every doctor's office I have visited at Columbia. I think Columbia should spend some of their Super Bowl ad money on hiring more support staff for their doctors.

I have called Dr Atkeson at least 4 times to obtain the results of my sleep apnea test that she ordered for me and discuss future options. It’s been over 2 weeks and she has NOT returned 1 call. Totally unprofessional and lack of concern on her part. Would never use her again.

I thought Dr. Atkeson was excellent. She was patient and extremely knowlegeable, and she took a lot of time to explain my medical issues with regard to sleep apnea and what my options were. I would recommend her without hesitation.
