Dr. Amy Jane Byer, MD

Worst doctor. Please think twice before scheduling an appointment with her. I went to her when I was to young to realize how incredibly unprofessional Amy Byers conduct was. Now that I am older and wiser I want to warn others. I saw her 32 years ago. It was my first gynaecologist appointment ever. Amy Byers rude, unprofessional, and inconsiderate behaviour has bothered me still to this day. I am very sad to see that she is still practising medicine. While reading other reviews it is evident that her conduct has not changed.

I am the kind of person who is terrified of gynecologist and I love Dr. Byer. She is very gentle, explains what she's doing the whole time, and is very down to earth and makes you feel totally at ease, regardless of what you're having done. I tend to have a mild panic attack during exams and procedures, and she makes sure I'm 100% okay before letting me leave. I live over and hour away, and she is worth the drive!

For me I really hard to change gynecologist, I had mine since I was in HS and I trust him 100%. Dr Amy was nice to me but didn't make me like I can trust her. Lady that answer on the phone is so mean, I been calling and calling for my results because I am worried and would like to know what is wrong with me, she treat me like it's nothing and almost make me feel guilty because I called! Well excuse me but people are not coming there for joy they are coming for help so show some manners and customer service or go drive metro bus!!!

Upon my first visit, the staff was completely unprofessional and impolite- wait time was at least an hour. When finally seen by Dr. Byer, she did not perform hand hygiene - either use alcohol cleanser or wash her hands- prior to conducting an exam on very private female matters. During the exam time, she was very talkative about irrelevant subject matters and failed to provide professionalism and Inquire about appropriate health topics. Finally, following the visit, I received a call from the office staff stating I needed a follow up exam - but they failed to state the reason why (abnormal lab results). The reason pertaining the the call seems rather important to disclose. Would not recommend this provider to others at all, based on the poor timeliness, unprofessionalism, absence of health hygiene, lack of knowledge by staff and provider alike.

My experience with Dr. Beyer was most pleasant. She is an excellent physician with great bedside manner. You won't be disappointed. She is extremely knowledgeable and a true patient advocate.

Dr Byer is not what you would expect. She is very informal in the way she dresses and the way she conducts the exam. I actually found that it made me more relaxed. I didn't have to worry about a doctors giant ego finding its way into conversation as is the case with many doctors these days. I thought she answered my questions thoroughly

The doctor kept insisting that I come back for vaccinations when I had gone there for other purposes. She took a sample from me and told me that she would call back with results. I received no call for more than a month and got rude/incompetent service from office staff. They are very hard to reach-no-one answers the phone. Moreover, I was misdiagnosed. She prescribed antibiotics and when I finally got my result, office staff told me results were normal. Of course, the doctor wasn't available for me to confirm this. I finally gave up. Save yourself some time/money and don't go to this awful doctor.

I've been seeing Dr. Byer for a few of years now and find her to be one of the most personable doctors I've ever had. She takes all the time you need to answer questions and make you feel well cared for. This helps as we approach menopause!

Best Dr. I've ever had! I suggested her to a friend of mine (who can be rahter picky). She also loved her!
