Dr. Amy Schafer Erickson, DO

Dr.Erickson is the only doctor that makes me feel like a person instead of a patient or an appointment. She left her brier creek office and I am going to find out where she went and continue to be her patient. Even if I have to drive to another city. She took the time to get to know and understand me, the office is at a huge loss without her.

I am completely disappointed in this doctor and clinic. This is the second year I have been here. This year, she charged me for 3 "codes" during a wellness visit, that bcbs wouldn't pay (they did pay partial payment when resubmitted by the billing dept. - originally they sent it in as an office visit and not a wellness visit - which is supposed to be FREE once a year) This doctor decided to charge for insomnia, after asking about my periods. I told her I wasn't sleeping well. She coded that as an additional visit! Then, charged me another "thyroid" code without talking at all about the thyroid. This isn't even a health problem. (for over 10 years!) She didn't disclose that she was going to feel my throat or order thyroid labwork. I paid the lab. At least it was something that was beneficial! However, she said I didn't need a pap smear this year! AND I still have to pay for TWO office visits!!!! Every year they do the same thing, but this year, they decided to charge for it???? This has… been a nightmare with BCBS, and their billing department. The billing office asked if they should notify us by mail or a sign on the door. She said that WE are responsible and have to tell the doctor not to go beyond a wellness visit! So, don't ask to many questions if you go to this facility if you don't want to be charged more than once!

Doctor Erickson does not rush through my appointment. She thoughtfully answers all my questions.
