Dr. Amy Elizabeth Grawey, MD

While my initial interactions with Dr. AMY left me with the impression she was knowledgeable about health and wellness, I soon learned she is very RUDE and verbally abusive when it comes to patients who struggle with being overweight. She does not show compassion or patience. She frequently made snarky comments and had a sense of superiority over her patients who struggled. If you like a Dr. who demeans you, makes you feel horribe about yourself, is verbally abusive and who pushes her extreme religious beliefs on you you have found the right person....Dr. Rude.

Needs to chill out a little, not everyone shares her beliefs about birth control, breast feeding and medication, there are a lot of docs in her area, I suggest you look around if you want to have an ongoing collaboration with your medical provider, however if you want a doc to tell you what to do, when to do it and you never have a question, she may be a good fit.

She tops the 'rude' limit for doctors. I left her office after she threw down my folder on the counter top. She has 'issues' she needs to find help.

I do NOT know how she has any reviews on here. The first time I meet her I thought she was very strange and she prescribed me pills I did not need. She also said their is absolutely no reason why I should be depressed, all you need to do is exercise. She has also criticized my parenting skills. I went to her another time when I was ill and she would not prescribe me a single medication, yet I took my daughter to her doctor the next day and she was immediately given a prescription. We had the same symptoms, I do not understand.

We saw Dr. Grawey to evaluate and treat my daughter's upper lip tie. I couldn't have asked for a better doctor! We drove from TN to see her and I am so glad we did. Dr. Grawey was very knowledgeable and did a beautiful job with the revision. I am thoroughly impressed with her office from the check in procedure and questions asked, to the diagnosis, how personable she was and then through treatment. She even sang to my daughter to help calm her as she was starting the procedure. She is very good with children and parents alike. I wish we lived closer so we could see her regularly.

I've been Dr. Grawey's patient for about a year. From the very first appointment, I found her to be disrespectful, rude and intolerant. Another family member also experienced the same behaviors. I tried several times to make this work as I hate to change doctors but it never got any better. She is especially intolerant of anyone who struggles with weight problems. She recently left BJC and opened her own practice, I cannot say I am surprised by the way I witnessed her treating her staff. She did not appear to work well with others. Her staff at BJC was extremely nice! I hope the next doctor that comes in is kind to them.

Worest doctor ever!!! I switched to her thinking she would help! Didn't really care and messed up my body by not giving me the pills I need! Some doctor!

I love this doctor! She doesn't rush through appointments like most doctors. She seems to genuinely care and makes sure u get a chance to ask any questions u might have. I highly recommend her to breastfeeding mothers, as she is also a certified lactation consultant. I'm very glad that I chose her as my daughter's doctor instead of a pediatrician. My only complaint is that they reschedule appointments A LOT!

We love Dr. Grawey. I admire that she stands up for her values and morals. Many doctors forget about these while practicing medicine, but Dr. Grawey's practice is made richer because she practices what she preaches. Dr. Grawey is extremely knowledgeable and willing to give her honest opinion when asked. One of the things I admire most about her is her knowledge of many aspects of medical health issues (especially tongue tie, NFP, and breast feeding). I could talk (and listen) to her all day. I've never felt blessed to have met a doctor, but our family certainly has been blessed by her.

I had really looked forward to using Dr. Grawey as my unborn child's Dr. until the experiences I have had before the baby was even born.As I interviewed doctor after doctor and really did not find a good fit, I heard about Dr. Grawey. I called her office & the girl I spoke with was super rude & said the Dr. did not do meet and greets.So sadly I met with more doctors & still was interested in Dr. Grawey.So my husband called the office & just asked if he could speak with the Dr. & he was offered an appointment to come in & meet the Dr. We went to meet the Dr. and the girl at the front desk asked for my insurance information and I even asked her why they needed that. She responded, "oh, we just put your info in the system in case you decide to select the Dr. to be your doctor."We then got called back and the nurse weighed me & took my vitals. I was very surprised & even asked the nurse if she realized we were there just to meet the Dr. for our unborn child. I even mentioned to my… husband that I thought it was odd that they were doing all of that & even mentioned that they may bill us for just meeting the Dr. We both did not think anything of it since we have met with many other doctors and not one of them charged for a meet and greet.Of course like a month later I get a bill in the mail for $160 for the Meet & Greet. I have called the billing office twice & was instructed to call the office manager at the office. Which I have also called twice. She insisted that we were told that we would be charged for an office visit but did say that she would speak with the Dr. & if there was an error they would correct it. That was almost a month ago and I have not heard back.I just got my 2nd bill in the mail for our Meet and Greet.Needless to say we will not be using Dr. Grawey and will not be referring her to any friends or family!
