Dr. Amy Charlotte Kakimoto, MD

Dr Kakimoto is a wonderful, compassionate and intelligent physician. Exactly the person you would want by your and your family's side through good health and bad. She diagnosed my basal cell carcinoma, set me up with quick and appropriate follow-up with a dermatologist and MOHs surgeon and did it all with the exact right amount of reassurance, urgency and compassion. I cannot say enough good things about her. You can tell that she truly cares about her patients.

I tell everyone how happy we are with Dr. Kakimoto an the staff at NCFM. My husband has a serious medical condition and she keeps track of him like family. She is an outstanding doctor and I tell everyone!

My husband and I love "Dr. Amy"! She is probably the smartest doctor I've ever had. She listens to her patients, explains medical issues clearly, and is flexible in trying different treatments to resolve medical problems. I trust her medical judgment completely. She has encouraged me to update her on the status of my problems via the office email portal and personally contacted me both by telephone and email to follow up. She also is friendly, warm, and caring. I feel very fortunate that she is my PCP and have recommended her many times.

I have not been her pt in over a year now and have gotten more accomplished by a mature experienced doctor. I have been diagnosed with a rare autonommic condition called POTS through my cardiologist. I could have died in Dr Kakimotos hands and she was doing everything she could to block me from further exploring my symptoms with specialist. She kept telling me I simply had fibromyalgia, the end. she has been wrong. i have an atrophic pancreas, Post.orthostatic tackycardia.She even tried to have my disability taken away when I filed a complaint with the medical board against her. I even think she is by far too young and easily swayed to come up with her own thoughts. diagnosis or opionions about her patients. Dont let her nerdiness trick you into thinking shes good. SHe has No Experience people!

I can't recommend Dr. Kakimoto highly enough - best doctor I have *ever* had - she is an amazing doctor as well as a great person - we love her!

I haven't had such a nice doctor in my last 24 years. She is very good with making patient understand what is what in Med. terms or diseases. She have taken care off and accepted me seeing even tho I was late multiple times. She listens patients problems and follows up very soon. I recommend people to have such a Doctor. Too bad for me that She can't be my primary doctor, I really wish she could :-) I am happy and healthy now:-)
