major let down her manner and lack of good care

After chemo infusion I went back to her office and told her staff that my foot was red, blue, and swollen. I asked to see Dr. Lang. After the staff notified Dr. Lang about my request she told the RN to evaluate me. The RN sent me on my way, saying it had nothing to do with the chemo therapy. I was very concerned and went to another doctor. He also was concerned and sent me to another oncologist who did an ultra sound and said that I had a life threatening condition, that I was hemorrhaging inside my leg. By her action in not seeing me personally that day she showed she did not care about her patients, their health, and concerns during their time of great need.

She is AMAZING!!! I've seen her for eight years (cancer free that long!), and she is always thorough but personable and supportive as well. Her staff are also great - I've been through diagnosis, surgery/mastectomy, reconstruction, chemo, radiation, etc. and throughout the entire process she and her staff have been incredible at every step. When comparing my treatment with other women, I've learned how proactive she has been and how lucky I have been to have avoided many of the complications others have experienced. She has you on a strict regime when going through chemo - diet, antinausea pills, vitamins and supplements that vary depending where you are in treatment and they really helped. They also almost had their own pharmacy for any common side effects with lots of recommendations for over-the-counter items that always worked for me. She is the best!

When I was diagnosed with breast cancer I was terrified, confused, and did not know which oncologist to go to for treatment . Im not from San Antonio, but someone had refferred me to Dr. Lang. I saw two oncologist prior to seeing her, and I'm so glad I chose her as my physician. She showed me great kindness, compassion, and was truly genuine. Although I had to travel four hours for treatments, and doctors visits, I did not mind because she always lifted my spirits and made me feel at ease. When i was in tears Dr.Lang would reach out to hug me and comfort me. I would most certainly recommend her to anyone that has been diagnosed with breast cancer. I would choose Dr.Lang again as my Doctor. Thank you Dr.Lang

I felt her care was very dismissive. You'll be fine. I needed someone to answer questions, not suggest I take Xanax for my worries about my future. I was extremely disappointed. Her nurse Rose is great.

The first time my husband and I walked into Dr. Lang's office we were greeted with the most warming and caring welcome. Already being very nervouse we felt like we were in the right place. I was diagnosed with stage 3 Breast cancer called HER2 positive. It had gone to my lymphnodes and seemed to be agressive. Dr. Lang wanted to be agressive and that's exactly what she did. She knew that Perjeta was a new drug that she had seen help patients with stage 4 and up. She knew the FDA was thinking about approving it for stage 3 patients but they hadn't yet. Dr. Lang approached my insurance and convinced them that this would be in my best interest to recieve this drug. She is a Guinness and She knows her stuff ð??? . I was her first patient to have Perjeta as part of my treatment. Guess what? It worked!!! I have recommended her to a dear friend and she couldn't be more pleased. I've can't imagine going to anyone else. God, Dr. Lang and the rest of my team of Dr's saved my life. THANK… YOU!!!!!!

Dr. Lang puts her patients first and will schedule appointments before or after hours and even on days off. She is very considerate, knowledgable, and caring. My family and I would highly recommend her to others.

As a husband Dr Lang explained everything to me and my wife. She is simply amazing and the smartest lady I know. We were stunned by her accuracy and commitment to detail. THANK YOU DR LANG for giving my 3 children back their mother and my wife to me..We owe it all to YOU !!! YOU ARE THE BEST !!

Where to start? I consider Dr. Lang a blessing and the reason I am alive today. I was diagnosed with ductal carcinoma and Dr. Lang sat down with me and explained with clarity and compassion the steps that it was going to take to beat this dreaded disease. I was very scared, but her soft-spoken calmness eased my fears along the way. She is the most knowledgeable doctor I know, keeping up with all the latest protocols for treatment. Her staff is amazing. They were always there when I needed anything during chemo. Dr. Lang is at the top of her field and even helped start an organization called ThriveWell to help those in the community with free nutrition advice and exercise classes. If you are looking for an oncologist in San Antonio, stop searching. You will NEVER find anyone better than Dr. Lang!

I would absolutely send any friend or family member to Dr.Lang if they were diagnosed with breast cancer. I was diagnosed with stage 3 Inflammatory Breast Cancer, a very aggressive cancer with a low survival rate. My father, a Physician in San Antonio, determined after talking with Dr. Lang and with Houston's M.D. Anderson"s IBC speciality unit that Dr. Lang would be giving me the same high level of care as they would, and that both had the same knowledge to handle this disease...and he and I both felt a warmth from Dr. Lang that we knew would also be important during this journey. Dr. Lang stayed on top of everything...every step of the way. Her staff is great. I felt like they all genuinely cared about me and what I was going thru. Her nurse Jennifer is one of the best. I called her quite a bit during my Cancer battle and she always had time to answer all my questions. Dr. Lang was diligent about staying one step ahead of my cancer. Her continuos effort to stay abreast of all new… options in fighting my IBC truly saved my life. I felt like I had a friend in my Doctor. Thank you Dr. Amy Lang for all your effort, all your time and energy, all your studies, and all your heart that you put into helping your patients fight this horrible disease.
