Dr. Amy Gedeon Mcandrew, MD

Makes her money by incarcerating patients and billing them $450 for a 5 minute session. Never took a medical, social or psychiatric history. Claimed bought 12 cars. When I told her that was completely untrue, she still did not change her mind. Accepted false reports of my sister and never once cared that I was taken from treatment with my neurologist for a concussion. I was discharged on a medication that cost $2500 per month. Even though I complied with all orders, she threatened me with long term incarceration in a State facility. Held me so long that my impounded car was auctioned off, I lost the $200,000 deposit and the house I was building in SC, and all of my personal stored possessions were auctioned off. My credit cards went into collection. Because of my inability to pay my bills, my credit score dropped so low, apartments would not rent to me and I had to live in hotels for over 2 years and rely on livery drivers and buses to get around until I could get a new car. … She enjoys torturing her patients. If you have a loved one you are concerned about, steer far away from McAndrew and her hospital. I filed a formal complaint with the Division of Consumer Affairs.

Terrible psychiatrist and dishonest person. Signed false affidavit and submitted it to the Court. When confronted with the falsity of the affidavit by me, made an arrogant face and sound as if to say, "what you gunna do about it". Likes to overprescribe Haldol and Risperdal instead of treating her patient's mental illness. Appears to generally enjoy torturing patients. I am more than willing to testify in any action against her license. I am an attorney with a license to practice law in Mississippi.
