Amy Pharr is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner of 28 years and a certified Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner of 18 years. I am the Director and Provider for East Coast Telepsychiatry.East Coast Telepsychiatry provides Remote Access/Telehealth visits only, and WE ARE ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS! We are a full-service practice, and our "New Patient" visit is currently only $189.00 and includes a full Assessment, Evaluation and Diagnosis. During your visit, we will work together to implement a treatment program that will serve you most effectively. Medication management may or may not be a part of your treatment, depending on each individual's needs. Follow-up visits are $89.00 and are typically every 30 or 60 days.Our goal is to get you where you want and deserve to be with your mental health, and that is what we work with you to do. We do not offer "in-person" or "In-office" visits at this time. To conduct your appointment, you can do so from the comfort of your own …home, work, or even while on vacation. All you need is a camera and microphone equipped desktop, laptop, or a smartphone. Once your visit is scheduled, we will email you a set of intake forms, as well as an invoice. Once the forms are submitted back to us, we begin building your patient file so that you can become a part of our practice. Payment must be made PRIOR to your visit. You will be provided a “link” prior to your appointment. Five minutes before your appointment is scheduled, you can “link in” and Ms. Phar will join you right on time!At this time, we are a SELF-PAY practice only and provide an invoice that must be paid prior to each visit. We do not accept insurance at this time, but we will however begin accepting most of the commonly used insurances soon. If you have prescription coverage, you will still be able to utilize that as covered with your carrier. We do provide receipts for each visit that you may submit to your insurance carrier to seek reimbursement if applicable. Professionally, I have had the privilege of opening 3 rural health clinics – one in Helena, Mississippi, one in Delco, North Carolina, and one in Dublin, North Carolina. I worked at Dorothea Dix State Mental Hospital in Raleigh, NC. I was able to take care of the PTSD soldiers returning from Kuwait during this time from Fort Bragg, NC. From there, I worked for Evergreen Behavioral in Whiteville (approx. 2010). The next year I started with Columbus Family Medical where I was in solo practice for 6 years doing both medical and psychiatry. During this time, I have also taught at Bladen Community College teaching phlebotomy; Mississippi University for Women teaching in the baccalaureate nursing program, and Robeson Community College. During my time at RCC, I also re-wrote/revamped the entire psychiatric nursing spectrum. After 28 years of helping others, I have made the decision that I can provide better care and services and therefore have established East Coast Telepsychiatry.
