Dr. Amy Lynn Solomon, MD

I had to go into St. Joes Womens for an after hours emergency visit since I was in absolutely terrible pain from a Bartholin Cyst that my Dr. had drained. Dr. Solomon was the Dr. on call. Upon arrival they took my vitals and it was apparent how much pain I was in as my blood pressure was 195/100. Dr. Solomon was not very comforting at all and removed the drain. She was well aware of the pain I was in and did not numb the area. Her bedside manner was by far the worst i had ever experienced. I was crying and so uncomfortable and I feel she dismissed all of that. Ver very disappointed in the service I received. I paid my $300 copay to have a doctor rush through this and disregard me as a patient. It was 6pm on a Sunday. So it was not like it was at the end of a shift in the middle of the night. There was one other patient in the triage area.

Dr. Solomon delivered my second daughter via c section after my water broke. She is caring, helpful and quickly responsive. I would recommend her to anyone!

I have been seeing Dr. Solomon for over 17 years, and three children later. She is a great Gyn and Obstetrics physician. I have recommended her to several friends.

I delivered in 2002 and 2006 both having Dr. Solomon throughout my pregnancy and one delivery. I definitely had some weight issues but always healthy and never did she say anything but encouraging words and addressed all my concerns professionally.. I was just looking her up as I found out we are expecting in 2016. She is pretty amazing.

Dr. Solomon is a wonderful person as well as a great physician. Her bedside manner is one of caring and compassion. She is a skilled surgeon too. I have been her patient for over 12 years and would recommend her to anyone.

I have been a patient of Dr. Solomon's for over a decade now and she has never mentioned my weight and I am not tiny. If anything, she seems to go out of her way to be careful in mentioning people's size at all because she is petite herself. I've always known her to be extremely thorough, caring, compassionate and sensitive. She has never dismissed my concerns without first answering them. I have learned to trust that if Dr. Solomon is not concerned about an issue, then there isn't anything to be concerned about. If you don't get on well with her, then you should find another doctor with whom you are more compatible. And, P.S. 5'6" and 132 pounds is TOTALLY NORMAL! Perhaps she was just worried about your nutrition habits? Sometimes, two people can have a conversation and one person thinks it's about one thing and the second person, another. I'm not saying that either of you is wrong. I'm only specifying that perhaps you're at sixes and sevens with one another and you need another… personality type that better fits your needs. There's many nice people in the practice as well! So, shop around and find someone who makes you happy! Sorry about your domestic issues. It is a pity that you had to go through that.

I was shocked and appalled by her dismissive answers when responding to my questions regarding "female issues". She was precise and to the point but appeared distracted and uninterested regarding my concerns. She failed to thoroughly answer my questions regarding the actual reason reason for my visit. Instead she primarily lectured me about weight, nutrition and exercise. I am 5'6" and weigh 132 pounds. This is not ideal for my height (I know this) but it is not so extreme of an issue as she made it out to be. She chose to make my weight issue the primary focus of an ob/gyn visit. I was there to get a thorough exam because my partner cheated and I was concerned about health risks, so it wasn't relevant to my issue or health questions. In fact I left feeling insecure and wondering if my weight issue was what prompted him to cheat! The focus she put on my weight and discussing nutrition was irrelevant to my visit. Based on my experience, Dr. Solomon would have been better suited to… become a Dietitian as she is apparently obsessed with the topic. I will not return to Dr. Solomon.

If I could give zero stars, then I would. Dr. Amy Solomon is THE WORST OB/GYN that I have ever seen.God forbid you have a weight problem, because instead of focusing on her area of expertise. Apparently she should have gone into nutrition due to being solely focused on ridiculing me, reverting everything back to my weight.She calls herself someone who specializes in urogynecology, well you definitely fooled me Amy! It was my weight, it's a MASS!

Dr. Solomon is an excellent physician. She takes the time to fully explain procedures and is very gentle and caring.

Dr Solomon delivered my daughter and she was wonderful, warm but efficient and her follow up care has been very thorough, I highly recommend her.
