Dr. Amy Lynn Sonnenblick, MD

I scheduled an appointment after a month-long wait, ensuring I added it to my calendar to avoid any forgetfulness due to the difficulty of securing a spot. Unfortunately, there was a mishap during the booking process or some other human error, resulting in the clinic being unable to see me. I ultimately missed out on the appointment altogether. It was a frustrating experience as it felt like the clinic was playing with people's lives by mishandling the scheduling process.

1 star because you have to click 1. THE WORST & MOST UNPROFESSIONAL OFFICE STAFF!! When I set my appointment I made it very clear what I was coming in for. When they called to confirm my appointment the day before I reiterated The reason why I was coming and I asked a few questions. When I got there no one had any idea that I was there for the problem that I spoke to three people in regards to. At the end of my visit I was charged over $300 to see the doctor. I asked for what and the woman said it was a problem visit and 80 of it was a co-pay ( I don’t even have a copay). I called my insurance the next day they said that the doctors office had to issue a refund. Linda from billing is a complete nightmare. My take is she has zero experience in billing whatsoever. She pretty much refused to give me the money that should never have been taken from me. I had to hound her to submit the bill. After the first week she said she needed another just to submit it and her exact words were “she… doing the work of 5 people” & I have to wait. The day before my follow up I was left a message that for my follow up it would be $484. Being I had a deductible I called and said for them to roll the $329 into my visit and I was told no they couldn’t do that. Linda said they just submitted the bill & I had to wait on the insurance company to process. The insurance company had already process the claim I had already spoken to them. So I asked her to call my insurance company to straighten it out and she told me no. I then had to have my insurance company call her explain to her how to do her job and when I did call back she said well I guess we’ll just roll the $329 we owe you into your next visit. It took United calling her out & telling how to do her job to do the right thing & what I asked from the beginning. When I went in for my follow up it was for an ultrasound, when I was done I expected to see the doctor and go over the bloodwork she had ran for me on my first visit. Which they did not put me on the schedule for. They also refused to give me my records until I signed a release and made them send them to my primary.than the best is she made me sign the same release form to myself to release my records to myself! Mind blown at the stupidity of this staff! By now someone grabbed the dr to come to the front because I was so upset and yelling in the waiting room. I explain to the doctor I wanted my records and how unprofessional their office was and I did not belong there. She said over the counter in front of a full waiting room I had an abnormal Pap smear and I needed to see a doctor. Who does that? Announces your medical problem in front of a waiting room & Then won’t tell you what’s wrong or see you. She said if you like you can come back tomorrow. Absolutely not I said. DELAY IN CARE! I Should of been seen immediately. This by far is the worst doctors office I have ever been to. TRUST WHEN I SAY DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!

My first appt with Dr Sonnenblick and was completely at ease with the care I received. She gave personalized healthcare and was genuinely professional.

Dr. Amy Sonnenblick is an incredible doctor. Although she is an OB/GYN physician, her knowledge extends far beyond that. I have been a patient of hers for several years and she always provides thorough examinations and testing. Most recently, she had a hand in saving my life. During an office visit, after she reviewed an unrelated CT scan report I brought to her, she saw there were life-threatening findings and explained the urgency for me to see a surgeon. She is so hands-on that she personally called one of the top-notch surgeons in Broward, faxed my report to his office and I was scheduled to see him the next morning. I have never had a doctor who is so invested in my overall health. When I saw the surgeon she referred me to, he confirmed all that Dr. Sonnenblick told me. Because of her attention to details, I had the surgery I needed with a phenomenal surgeon and I am recovering. I am forever grateful to her for saving my life. I would refer anyone to her with 100%… confidence that they will be in great hands. Her staff is the best too. They call to follow-up and do what they say they will do! Finally, Dr. Sonnenblick's office called to see how I was doing and if I had the surgery needed. Talk about going above and beyond. If every office operated like hers, we would all be in better health. Thank you Dr. Sonnenblick and staff!!!!

It has been a while since I've had an exam by Dr. Sonnenblick; not because I didn't want to, but life tends to get in the way of following up on one's health. But I must say that Dr. Sonnenblick was, and still is very through, very professional, and she provides information that is current as well as helpful. It is not hard to develop a good doctor/ patient raport with Dr. Sonnenblick. She make me feel very comfortable with discussing any concerns I may have about my health. Thank you again Dr. Sonnenblick. You & your office staff are awesome!

Yearly visit

Dr. Sonnenblick is amazing. I have never been to a dr who has listened, cared, treated with such respect and honesty. She read over every note and report, she listened, asked questions and made me feel as relaxed as possible. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants a dr who cares about their patients. From the second I walked into that office until I left everyone was nice, friendly and eager to help. Who knew going to a gynecologist could be such a pleasant experience?!
