Dr. Amy Louise Stephens, MD

After seeing the negative reviews; that is not the Dr. Stephens I know! I have been going to her for over 13 years. She has helped with both of my pregnancies. I recommend her 100% and many of my friends go to her now because of that recommendation! She is caring and compassionate. She cares about your health!

I've been a patient of Dr. Stephens for over 10 years. She's professional and very thorough. She is honest and direct. She's not looking to make friends, but she does care for her patients. After being a patient for so long, we have built a rapport with one another. She always asks about my family and shows interest in me as a person. (She doesn't have to do that) I certainly do respect her as a black woman in this field of work.

Dr. Stephens is wonderful I have been a patient of her's since 2009. In previous â??commentsâ?? I read she was rude w/ no bedside manner. I think that is far from the truth, I will admit she is some what direct, I believe that she is just trying to give you the best information for your particular situation. Whenever I have an issue that requires a to call her nursing staff they are always very helpful and if it is a question that they can not answer and need to ask Dr. Stephens, I receive a call back by the end of the day. I do agree if you have questions you should have them prepared. I believe it is not that she doesn't want to spend the time with you but you have to understand she also has other patients, because from my experience she will sit with you and answer any questions you have. I had to have surgery (which another doctor did not catch!... this is actually why I chose to see Dr. Stephens) and she was able to catch the issue early enough that the surgery helped prevent… other issues and explained every little detail about the surgery to me. I have never been disappointed with Dr. Stephens or her staff nor have I felt that they act too busy to deal with patients. I would and have recommended Dr. Stephens.

Nursing staff is rude and acts too busy to deal with patients. Called their office with a medical concern and before even finding out symptoms blew me off. Spent the night in the hospital instead only to find out I needed to follow up with their office. Dr Stephens has no bedside manner. She spends very little time with you, you really have to have a list ready when you go in there of questions because she's in and out so quickly!! If you have a miscarriage - forget it. No compassion. She can't even fake it well!! If you're pregnant and want a doctor that cares about you, this is not her.

Dr Stephens has been my doctor with two pregnancies. Although she may seem a little direct, that same directness gave me a great amount of confidence in her and I would ONLY want her. My pregnancies were not simple and she stayed with me through it all. If you are looking for someone to hold your hand and be cute with you, this is not the doc for you. But if you want someone who you know will make the best decisions then she's amazing.

horrible bedside manner, rude. I cant believe that they gave her a medical license. I called her office multiple times after she gave my a medicine to induce a miscarriage when I wanted a d&c. After a month of calling with concerns she finally gave me an ultrasound to find out I needed a d&c anyways

Dr Stephens made it possible for me to have vbac I didnt want a csection and she took the time to help me with that and for that in highly greatfull to her, she spent the time getting to know me and my specific needs would recommend to everyone I know!

Dr. Stephens is the worst doctor I have ever seen. Surprisingly, She has very little knowledge and skill about what she has been doing for years.Before you decide to take her suggestions to do something big to yourself, don't forget to have another Doctor to take a look. Otherwise, you'll be very disappointed later.

Really a bad Dr, if you do not care about yourself, please go see her.

this is my first pregnancy and dr. stephens is absolutly the best. i went through 3 other obgyns before finding her, i knew right away that i wanted her to be my doctor , the wait is always about ten minutes for me, if im nervous about something i call, and they help me right away. the staff is so caring, and the nurses are sooo sweet, always call me "dear",i recommend her to everyone!
