Dr. Amy Diane Tiersten, MD

Dr. Tiersten gave me referrals for many years for CAT scans to check for lung cancer. I wasn't even at high risk for lung cancer On top of standard radiation treatment for breast cancer it was too much radiation. I got a thymoma Almost died and now at risk for other cancers

Dr. Tiersten is an excellent medical oncologist who exudes professionalism. She is on top of all breast cancer research and communicates with her patients in such a humane way. Always prepared and willing to spend time when her patients require assistance. She sets herself apart from other physicians because she has that rare ability to put herself in her patient's shoes. Dr. Tiersten is an incredible human being.

Excellent doctor and staff. Sometimes the wait is agonizing but I'm learning to manage that part. I would be concerned if she didn't have many patients! Very good with my family too.

Dr Tiersten is compasionate and a knowledgeable physician in her field. I have treated with her since 2008. I followed her from Nyu to my. Sinai. I could not imagine using a different Dr. Dr. Tiersten acts so friendly and warm to me at each follow up visit. She helped me get through my bout with breast cancer physically and psychologicaly.

It was difficult to get an appointment that worked with her small window. When I did get there, I waited over an hour and felt she rushed through my appointment when I finally did get in. She seemed scattered, kept taking phone calls during my appointment, didn't know my name and just wanted to get me in and out. Maybe I caught her on a bad day, but I was not impressed.

She answers every question; is well prepared for every visit. Very personable, which helps a lot when you are being treated for breast cancer.
