Dr. Amy Tu, MD

Two words: Total incompetence. Not only is she notorious for losing her own patient's records, she straight up lied to me about the potentially dangerous side effects of the depoprovera shot. I have endometriosis, and she told me multiple times that the only side effect was "mild weight gain". She even told me that if I did gain weight it was "my fault" anyway. Classy. Two weeks after getting it I had pain so bad I could not walk, and had a menstrual cycle that lasted for a month. I lost my job and am still suffering from long, irregular painful menses. Another doctor told me that both were common side effects of depo and that someone in my condition should never have been given it. She also wanted to give me an IUD, even knowing full well about my endometriosis, which would have caused incredible pain and even scarring. Looking up her other online reviews has shown me that I'm not the only patient she's done this to. This woman is dangerous. DO NOT GO TO HER.

I won't recomment her to anyone. The whole experience was horrible.

My overall experiance with Dr. Tu was exceptional. She was very knowledgeable and I apreciated her professionalism. I was very comfortable with her and would highly recommend her to anyone.
