Dr. Anand Sarup Gupta, MD

I do not have anything negative against Dr Gupta himself, however his billing department is horrible. I am an employee of his insurance company. As a par provider, you are not allowed to balance bill patients with cost that are not their financial responsibility and that is exactly what his office has done. This whole mess started with their coding and billing department filing a botched claim to the insurance company. I wonder how many of their patients have been over charged for services in error and never knew about it. This office has ruined my credit in error because they paid no attention to the three way written contract between providers, members, and insurance companies. Upon my follow up visit they asked for payment upfront. This is another thing a par provider can not do is ask for payment upfront. My issues have been escalated and filing a complaint with big insurance in Jacksonville.

I was very nervous when I saw the review score for Dr. Gupta. Took 6 hospital personnel to convince me to let him operate on my mom. He did a great job! She was released to early from Baptist downtown but I am not sure who's fault that was. Had to be readmitted the next day. She is now healed and doing great! I did discover all his visits to her were late at night. He doesn't talk much. I am not sure if it's because he knows little English or what but I was OK with that. I followed up with the primary care doctor so I can not give you a comment about his office.

I have never had this kind of treatment over the phone. I just want to know if they made claim to my insurance and first thing I got from them is talk to my lawyer. I didnt even get any instruction to give them patient information. She was angry and never friendly to begin with. All i wanted to do i get some information and find out if my insurance cover them or not. if not i was willing to pay them but now... i donno i think im going to send them money as it is payment plan. Not to be stereo type but... whomever was on the phone was not even good at English. Just because you are working in doctor's Office does not mean you can treat people this way.

Called their office to speak to someone regarding records and receptionist just hung up on me because it wasn't the correct department. I've tried calling back to ask for the correct department number but now my calls are being forwarded to voicemail. This place offers zero help.

I (another medical professional) have attempted to contact this office to establish plan of care for several other patients post op. I have faxed / called this office numerous times. Either the phone goes to a messed up voicemail that you are unable to leave a message or an EXTREMELY rude unprofessional poorly versed ethnic woman answers the phone yells at you then hangs up. My patients are unable to get care post op due to this. I would NEVER recommend this surgeon and I will be reporting this physician to the State board. His credentials should be pulled and unable to practice.

This doctor doesn't act like patient is even a matter just the complications! No info given out you ask if u want it doesn't help! He may be good doctor??? To be determined but he seems rude!

Can you give zero stars? The doctor's wife is his receptionist and she is VERY rude and unprofessional. It is impossible to get a word in, she starts yelling as soon as you call the office and WILL hang up on you. I would recommend not being a being a patient of this office.

So I can't sleep, and I had the great idea to look up my surgeon. Turns out that he has botched a few surgeries, his stuff at his office are rude, and it's hardly impossible to make a follow up appointment with this man. I believe it, he came to check on me the day after surgery for about 1 min and like 30 sec. Just to tell me I gaston stay an extra day. The next day he never came by to see me, and I was only release because the medical doctor said yes. And the nurse had to called the surgeon to give the okays. Honestly, I'm just scare that this surgery could turn into something bigger. I pray not

His bedside table is awful. Very condescending . Ego as big as Texas
