The clinical manager is extremely rude, I spoke nicely the entire time and she gave me attitude and hung up on me.

After many people suggested fusion of C5-6 Dr. Kumar suggested Physical Therapy. It has been 6 years and while I do have some occasional discomfort I do not need fusion. Back surgery is big money in western medicine. Dr. Kumar will not operate unless it is required. He takes your health and function seriously.

I recently went to see Dr. Kumar and have never had a more pleasant experience with a doctor. I had previously seen two others for the same issue and they were both recommending a fusion. Dr. Kumar spent over an hour with me going over each detail he saw on my x-rays and MRI. He went over my entire 20 year history of back pain and put it all together for me at the end so I finally know exactly what I'm dealing with and what my options are. He recommended some less invasive options to start with and I am so happy I went to see him before proceeding with a fusion. I would recommend Dr. Kumar to anyone. I did have an unpleasant exchange with one of the ladies who answered the phone one time I called and it almost made me cancel my appointment. I am so glad I didn't and am still giving them 5 stars because Dr. Kumar, Cora, and Crystal could not have been better!

Dr. Kumar informed me that my back was indeed very compromised from old sports injuries and congenital issues. He studied my situation thoroughly and we first tried a procedure short of full surgery to see if a more moderate approach would give me relief. It did not. I was in constant severe nerve pain that kept me from standing, sitting, or laying down. I have been told that I have a very high pain tolerance, but there was no relief. Upon his recommendation we proceeded to two days of surgery that included a posterior spinal fusion (T9-Pelvis) as well as a decompression procedure (S1-S5) and an anterior fusion of T12-S1. Dr. Kumar is the best in his field. He takes in all information from all available sources and makes very informed decisions. Importantly, his surgical techniques are first rate. One of the most impressive aspects for a patient of Dr. Kumar is that each member of his team, whether on his staff, or the hospital staff, or 3rd party providers, are very aware… of the "Kumar Way" and that each of their functions are carried out with pride to the very high standards that Dr. Kumar sets. As a result, the patient obtains the best possible result. Best of all, Dr. Kumar, after the surgery, follows each patient with visits and up to date descriptions of what is going on with the healing process and other aspects of the case. In my case, after the first of the two days of surgery, the nerve pain was gone. My recovery was swift and the nerve pain remains non-existent as I proceed through physical therapy and life renewed.

My back got so bad that I couldn’t stand or walk more than 10 minutes without having extreme hip and leg pain plus numbness in my foot. After X-rays, an MRI, and exam, Dr. Kumar determined I needed surgery. I chose Dr. Kumar because he has a reputation (from former patients and from medical professionals) as being the best of the best! I am now 5 weeks after surgery and am walking over half mile each day without any pain. I highly recommend Dr. Kumar! His techniques and procedures are the best.

I have seen Dr. Kumar for two different back issues and they were both cleared up and I am pain free. He is an excellent Dr with a wonderful patient relationship. He is very caring and professional. His staff is remarkable and I am always treated with courtesy and so fast to answer questions and very helpful. I would recommend him to anyone experiencing back pain. He is a very compassionate and caring Dr.

Dr. Kumar is one of the few doctors who will spend time with you. Each apt was my time and I didn't feel rushed. Surgery went great and I am now straighter and suffering less. I am so glad I finally found him! Wish his staff would take a couple classes in customer service.

Dr. Kumar is very unethical, he cut my spinal cord, lied about it and confessed 6 months later. I've have partial paralysis and had to have 9 other surgeries since his carelessness. Please do not trust him, I did my research and it burned me so please look elsewhere for care.

seventeen years ago he performed a c2-c3 fusion also a L4-5 L5-S1 fusion. 2005 he performed a c-4-5 fusion and again in 2017 he performed a L2-3 L 3-4 fusion. He is a very cautious and consistent and caring surgeon.
