Dr. Melchior was extremely rude. She is arrogant and very disrespectful Dr. Among many complaints that I have about her, the most disgraceful one was when she rolled her eyes to a hospital staff member after I asked her a question about surgery. I have regretted having surgery from her. I found another Orthopedic Surgeon for follow up care after my surgery. I would never recommend Dr. Melchior to anyone her professionalism is shameful.

Differential diagnoses (outside of her orthopedic specialty) are a challenge for Dr. Julie Melchior; she relegated me to a lifetime of pain ("You'll just have to live with it; we can't know the source of your pain."). I consulted a pain specialist who, during one visit, correctly diagnosed the sources of my pain (nerve compression) and recommended a surgeon who then successfully operated on me. When I told Dr. Melchior this diagnosis, prior to my surgery with the nerve specialist, she continued to insist that my pain was beyond diagnosis. Dr. Melchior also placed numerous inaccurate statements in my medical record: putting the best face on this, she did not listen well in taking my medical history.
