Dr. Anca C. Rosca, MD

My doctor retired, and the practice encouraged me to see Dr R. She gave me approximately 5 minutes, skipped a pap smear, mumbled something about elevated cancer risk, and told me to take a test online. (But did not specify which one.) Did not respond to MyChart emails after I uploaded two results from tests I found using Google and ChatGPT. The practice only returned my call after I complained to Patient Services. They then treated my elevated cancer risk like a scheduling inconvenience and tried to pass me off to a nurse to discuss my test results. DO NOT COME HERE.

Dr Rosca is very nice, and professional. She listens to your concerns and I would definitely recommend.

I've been to see Dr. Rosca a few times now and each time I find her to be kind, professional and timely. If I have concerns she works with me through them, and she remembers details about my medical history with each visit.

I have been going to Dr. Rosca since 2006 and think she is an excellent doctor. She was very helpful while I was 'trying' to get pregnant, awesome during and great when she delivered my baby in 2007. I still travel to see her. Like the others though I agree she is a bit more business-like then some may want, but it must be said that this is a MEDICAL DOCTOR, not a therapist. She is exceptionally well versed, quick, knowledgeable and very kind. Exactly what I want in my doctor. I never doubted her abilities. I adore her attitude. She tells you what you need to know and never speaks down to her patients. Perhaps that is the root of the issue that others had with her: maybe she didn't over-explain what she was doing - going with the assumption that they would have asked if they did not understand. I appreciate the lack of unnecessary chit-chat when someone is doing a clinical examination or procedure, lends itself more to the thought that the doctor is actually concentrating. I also agree… that the NYU based doctor facilities leave a bit to be desired, but they were local, convenient and efficient when I was going all of the time and now that I travel to her - i find that I never have to wait more than a week for an appointment.

She was a mean woman. She yelled at me for not asking more questions when I told her how scared I was. I hate her.

I was on time for my appointment, but she had me wait in my gown for over 30 minutes. She was nice, professional, evaluated me well and explained. Said she was calling my Rx into the Duane Reede, but it was not there when I got there. I called the next day THREE TIMES because I was in pain got voicemail each time and none of her "coordinators" responded. Not impressed. The office itself is a little dirty as well. I would not go back.

When I went into labor for our first childs birth, my OB/GYN was away and I ended up with Dr. Rosca who was on call that weekend. Dr. Rosca was exceptional right from the start. When I called the hospital to describe my symptoms, she returned my call in less than 5 minutes. She listened patiently and considered all aspects before making a diagnosis/ recommendation. At the hospital, she was able to gain our trust very quickly despite it being our first in-person meeting with her. She clearly knew her stuff, inspired confidence and was in control of the situation throughout the delivery. She was not judgmental and was not trying to push things on me.Her bedside manners were great as well she was patient with my questions and definitely seemed to care. She had a sense of humor and managed to keep the atmosphere appropriately light during what was (at least to me) a tense period.I rarely write reviews but felt compelled to write one for Dr. Rosca given my excellent all-round experience… with her. I strongly recommend her.
