Callous treatment by Dr. and his nurse.

Recently had a procedure done with Dr. Gilbert. I suffered from extreme pain for over a week that actually led to me throwing up from the pain and dry heaving through a third. I called the doctor's office about it only to be blown off by the nurse over the phone. I called back a eight days later and was once again dismissed by the nurse who ignored the fact I was terrified with the symptoms I was experiencing. It was only after a subsequent call from my wife that I was squeezed into his schedule. I was examined, was told nothing was abnormal, and as a precaution, I was prescribed an antibiotic that I was to pick up at a local pharmacy. I left, got to the pharmacy only to be told there was no prescription. I was afraid I got there too quickly and was simply going to have my wife go later to pick it up because I could no longer tolerate my pain. She went later only to find there was none submitted and the office was closed. I had a test scheduled for the following week and a… consultation two days later only to receive a call the day before the procedure to be informed the doctor would now be out of the office and the follow up would not be possible. I'm am literally at my wit's end dealing with him, his office, and the lack of concern for my well being and lack of professionalism demonstrated by him and his staff. Anyone reading this and considering his services, patient beware. I felt like an inconvenience and am still dealing with pain following the procedure. Shame on me for not doing my homework, not that I could have been prepared for the nightmare I am experiencing.

I was quite impressed with the professionalism and friendly personal interaction by Dr. Gilbert and everyone in his staff I have had contact with.

My family Dr. Diagnosed the problem.I filled out 4 pages when I arrived going over the problem. I was asked by nurse or aide what the problem was. I then went over it with Doctor's Assistant. I then went over it all when the Docter came in. He knew nothing when he walked in. When I had surgery The Anesthesiologist said to me it wont be on time, Dr. Gilbert is always late. Didn't go into any detail about surgery learned more from the Nurse right before surgery. He's in a big hurry you feel like a number.
