I was referred to Dr. Ishak by my MD for a trigger finger on my right hand. I am a working musician who plays guitar and fiddle, so it was very important for me to get this taken care of quickly and efficiently. I contacted Ventura Orthopedics and asked for an appointment with Dr. Ishak in Camarillo. I was told he is in high demand but I was able to get a Camarillo office visit that following Friday, December 15, 2023. He met with me, asked a few specific questions, looked at my hand and immediately scheduled me for surgery. My pre-op was in Oxnard, on December 26th and surgery was in Ventura, on January 4th, 2024. All this scheduling and care was done over busy holidays, which impressed me. Each place I went to was clean , staff were friendly and waiting time was minimal. Surgery went well. I was prepped and taken care of in a timely manner. Best of all, I was able to play my instruments the following day (even with a bandage on my hand)! My stitches were removed on January… 18th; only 2 weeks after surgery. Dr. Ishak and his staff were prompt, efficient and professional throughout this process. Follow up was the same quality of care. At my post op appointment, Dr. Ishak determined I should have physical therapy to ensure full use of my hand and fingers. I was scheduled for 6 weeks of therapy sessions and went to the physical therapy offices in Camarillo, which were close to my home. Everyone was professional, knowledgeable, prompt and provided respectful attention to my needs. After completion of PT I had a final follow up appointment with Dr. Ishak. I have psoriatic arthritis also, which has caused inflammatory breakouts on my skin. He prescribed an anti-inflammatory medication (which I picked up that same day at my pharmacy) and he kindly referred me to a dermatologist for additional care. I could not be more pleased with the comprehensive care I received from Dr. Ishak and his team. Thank you. Pat Cronin

I can’t speak highly enough about Dr. Ishak, I have been seeing him for 1 1/2 years for the problem with my left thumb and wrist. He gave me injections and a brace that worked for awhile but when my pain increased he told me my only recourse was surgery. He and his staff ran all the necessary tests, cleared with my insurance and set me up with my pre-op testing . Everyone was so kind and helpful with everything. He explained the pain and recovery but assured me he felt confident he could help me. Yes there was pain but not as much as I thought it would be. I have returned for my one week and it is going well and next week stitches come out. Again if you are looking for a wonderful doctor Dr. Ishak is the one.

I have had 2 months of Dr visits and hand therapy for New Mothers Syndrome, tendinitis in the thumb and wrist. I was at my wits end since nothing seemed to be working and it was soo painful! Dr Ishak’s staff were so understanding and kind, and I was able to get in earlier then normal for a first time patient, they put me in a cancelation. I was so great full! The c ray tech was kind and Dr Ishak was comforting. He was thorough in his exam and answered all of my questions! I highly recommend him if you need a hand special.

I really feel bad for any kind of surgeon because their job isn't one to get people rushing to see them. But I had this same procedure done about 12 years ago and experienced excruciating pain afterward. So I was scared. But I was scared for nothing. Dr Ishak is a wonderful surgeon who has great staff and my experience was unbelievably easy and painless the surgery center staff are so caring and friendly. Nobody ever wants to find themselves in this kind of situation but if you do, I truly recommend Dr Ishak and his team, you won't regret it.

The group was very responsive to my needs. Dr Ishak is very knowledgeable and an expert in his field. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Ishak was Amazing!!! I couldn’t have asked for a better Dr. I was in so much pain due to breaking my wrist I didn’t think it would ever get better, but with Dr. Ishak’s incredible skills I’m on the road to recovery..

He is professional and totally disengaged. Told me I had to use a splint that was extremely painful and absolutely unwearable After a month of my complaining he had a custom splint made which worked. So healing was delayed for over a month because of his total disinterest.
