Dr.Andrea Bennett at CHOP ,PA was the most unprofessional Dr. I have ever met. Warning!! If you get her ask for another Dr.

My name is Justin Beiter and my son Kyle Gavin was admitted to CHOP over the weekend for fluid build up in his knee joints. Dr. Bennett was by far one of the best Doctors that worked on Kyle. I would recommend Dr. Bennett to any parent looking for a good general pediatrician for their children.

Many of the above items aren't applicable, as she works in the hospital, not an office. Dr. Bennett is extremely intelligent and caring, and CHOP is a great place to be (if a child ever needs to be in a hospital).

My son was admitted to stay overniight to have a test done in AM, which was recommened by an older, more experience MD who just wanted to be safe. The next morning we met Dr Bennett. She told us that the ER Dr's have no say in what gets ordered after pt is admitted and she refused to let my son have an ultrasound of his heart, which was the only test that needed to be done to rule out 1 of 2 possibilities of what was going on with him. She then went on to say that it the US used up alot of resources in the hosp and was very expensive. First thing My husband and I thought was that she was being racial. we r an interracial couple who both work full time and have excellent health ins. Guess she didnt read the chart first! She did say that the other reason for not doing the US is because my son did not fit ALL the criteria for this disease. When she explained the disease she spoke like she speaking from a text book unlike the 2 ER Dr's who spoke from experience. The other thing I did not… like about her was that she had NO caompassion or bedside manner for my son who is 21 months. SHe came did her assessment quickly without consoleing him or letting him warm up to him. I am going elsewhere for another opinion, and they're doing the US right away! I will also be reporting her to the hospital.

Dr. Bennett saw my child during a hospital stay at CHOP. She very kind and caring with a great bedside manner. Having seen many other pediatricians, I was shocked at the length of time she would visit with us. She always made sure that we understood everything that was going on and carefully addressed all of our questions...making us feel as if our child was her only patient. Don't let her looks or age fool you, she definitely knows her stuff! We highly recommend her!
