Dr. Andrea Lucile Burgo-Black, MD

Dr. Burgo is a, no nonsense doctor, she is friendly, has a great smile, listens to you, does a thorough examination and then tells you like it is. Also, she never rushes you out of her office. Five years ago Dr. Burgo noticed I was losing blood. She told me I had to have a colonoscopy which I had never had before. I told her I was going to Florida and that I would think about it when I came back. She told me I was not going to Florida until I had this procedure done. She was quite adamant so there was no sense in arguing with her especially when she said, "Either I make the appointment or you make it yourself". I had the procedure and was diagnosed with Colon Cancer. I was operated on, the cancer was removed and five years later my colon is still free of cancer. If it were not for Dr. Burgo, I would probably be taking a dirt nap. She is a wonderful doctor and I owe my life to her.
